Qantas [has not] abandons minimum points guarantee

Did anyone see an announcement associated with Qantas's latest round of FF "enhancements" about abandoning the minimum 1000 points per flight gurantee?
I notice in my Activity Statement that flights earning fewer than 1000 FFpoints now earn just the face number.

Another reason to switch methinks! (Especially as already LTG)

I just realised that the two flights i was looking at were MEL-SYD and SYD-MEL as part of a BA booking.

My Y flight, MEL-SYD, on Monday was credited at 1000 points. (With the usual * denoting minimum points earn had been applied.)

Edit: Yep no minimum points guarantee with a BA flight number.

Was going to say! I've been flying weekly MEL-SYD and every time 1,000 points have posted.

On the subject of "minimum points guarantee": it strikes me as a bit strange that the minimum for Busines sectors remains at 1250 points. This made sense when the premium for Business was 25%, but now that the premium has been increased to 50%, surely the minimum points should also be increased to 1500? I actually sent a query to Qantas about this some time ago, but never received any response.

The day that they get rid of the minimum points guarantee is the day that QF will notice a drop on the number of pax on the SYD-MEL route... The minimum points guarantee is the reason that they can still call QFF a frequent flyer program, as flying is still the most effective way of earning points (on a $ per point ratio)

Interesting that the entire itinerary, booked through BA, appeared twice in "My Bookings" - once with a BA booking reference and once with a QF one.
Not complaining - it was after all booked as BA. But feels odd to be a Platinum QF and being recognised on a QF flight as a 'foreigner'.
