I agree. I can't understand the mentality of some people - I really can't. What's the motivation?

Bossreggie - I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, and I haven't been here very long, but long enough to see the positive influence you've had on the place. I'm sad that you're leaving, and particularly under these circumstances.

I'm no expert on law but i'm sure some people here are, surely BossReggie can get the offenders in trouble?

Same as the poor kids that get cyber bullied, it's the same thing, just done by low life adults.

Hi Bossreggie

Like everyone else I would be sorry to see you leave here and am disgusted by this behaviour.

I hope you stay, or at least return sometime.

The reason is that if you just leave you may have given your cyber bullies the power kicks they may want.

Unfortunately this sort of stuff is all to common, and I know its very upsetting, and I feel for you, Boss. I've had the misfortune to meet one such person, who bullied me online. Or maybe the good fortune to meet only one!

Fool! He used the office email system, leaving a wonderfully clear trail, I reported it, and he no longer works for the organisation. I can just imagine what his online behaviour, cloaked in anonymity, would be like.

I support the Winchester's great advice for you to report the behaviour to the AFP. And also to name the offenders to the mods and admin. If you do nothing but leave, you embolden the cyberbullies. And no doubt they'll go on to bully others here. They're like that.

It is a timely warning for the rest of us to assess how much of ourselves is exposed to a group of people whom we know basically nothing about.

Too true, and very sad as well. It is a shame that the behaviour of a handful of people makes the majority modify their behaviour and become more guarded. :-|

A good reminder I guess. We can quite happily entertain contrary viewpoints, but we should never harbour a grudge over an opinion (especially not a grudge using cowardice by way of threat and intimidation).

I've no idea what the difference of opinions were (hope it wasn't me) but I'll wish you well too, Bossreggie.
