Along with all the other well wishers, I hope you stick around Shaun. For the accusations you have put forward, I must agree with thewinchester in his assumptions of the law, but knowing you as a friend, that is not in your nature and the scumbags who are hassling you will walk away free.

Name and shame - if not here, at least on FB or Twit so we all know who these people are, and have no association by mistake.

Stick around, we like your presence!

BossReggie, don't go. Your the most open QF CL that AFF has had since l have been a member and you give us great insight into something which (dare l say it), 99% of us will never get.

Pretty annoyed that this cough is starting to happen here as well. I was a member of a forum for a couple of years, was top contributor with over 15,000 posts, but left after trolling and on forum harrasment turned to implied threats via PM and then escalated to death threats against my family! I left that forum, and I hung around here for a long time before actually joining to make sure that this wasn't the sort of place where this kind of thing happened.

I'm disgusted to hear that it is. Please, at the least forward all the details of the harrrasment to admin, and even better don't let the coughs win by leaving (If they are calling your PA and harrassing him/her, please take thewinchester's advice and contact the police. I have a friend in the AFP and I can gaurantee that they take this stuff very seriously).

That is terrible - I feel you should name them, not as revenge but as a public service for this forum community to be aware who the people are. How we deal with them is up to the community.

At least name them to the mods, although maybe you have.

While I'm ambivalent about Bossreggie going or not going as I don't agree with a number of his comments, I do think harassment as described is taking it a bit too far. It's a 'travel' forum for crying out loud centered on flying.

One would guess that Bossreggie cannot identify with certainty who is doing this to either Admin, the police or his ISP which makes it hard to deal with.

I have noticed a number of trolls as well as increasing very negative posts on the past 2 years. And it is also one of the reason that I do not post much in the forum. But what happened to BossReggie is disgusting. I sincerely hope that AFF is doing something about it, and soon.


BossReggie, I have never met you and most likely never will (and I will never be QF Silver, let alone CL). But thank you for all your posts in the forum as well as being helpful to a lot of people who need to get to those lounges that most will never get into. You will be missed.

MANY AFF members have met me, have dined out, had a drink, been guested to lounges, etc, and I have enjoyed that a lot. I have flown interstate on a whim to catch up with people. I have offered my own apartment in Paris at ZERO charge to members I have NEVER met. I have put my "money where my mouth is" during the flood crisis.

Truthfully, I would consider myself to be generous with my time and my resources. I am just NOT happy to be vilified in any manner.

For those who know me, I am DEFO happy to continue catching up. Straitman... We MUST have that dinner some time.

If the 2 AFF members who consider it their duty to keep emailing me with rubbish, AND calling my Personal Assistant, cease their annoying actions, I would much rather hang around. I won't name you publically as I am not going to stoop to that level. I would just remind you that I am NOT prepared to accept any more of the unwanted contact.

Sorry to see you go and I think that AFF has lost a great member in you.

Can only say that you have been extremely generous in offering private jet flights and other such offers at no cost (very amusing the free Y tickets after you lost a bet). Whilst I haven't been able to accept any of your offers I feel very lucky to just have been invited so a personal thank-you from me.

I am disgusted at such harassment from some members and I tip my hat to you for taking the high road.

You will be missed but should you decide to come back, I'm sure that me and many many others would welcome you with open arms!

OK long term lurker - very sporadic poster. Its so easy to shoot people down in cyberspace, but I'm sitting here over the past few days reading this thread thinking "aren't we all in this together"? I mean, I travel for work - all in (discount) economy, and have only ever seen business class as I leave the plane - but this forum has shown me the benefits of paying for QP (actually will make SG for the first time this year). I'll never fly enough to capture the status of a WP but enjoy hearing about it - but please, lets lighten the tone of the forum and enjoy ourselves!

Whilst I deplore the fact that any member from AFF would harass any other member (or any member of the public at all), I'm not sure how leaving AFF will help. Surely if these individuals have phone numbers and email addresses, then the harassment could continue? Maybe involving the authorities?

Bossreggie came up with the fundraiser when the east coast of Australia was in crisis. As a result of that his stocks are held high by our family. We need more of this and less of the negative stuff.
