Best F Lounge?

Loved the cabanas more when they had water above the pebbles...

Haven't been in a while - are you saying they now don't? And, as a consequence, you can walk between cabanas? That seems a little bit wrong... I thought keeping the cabanas quarantined from each other was the whole purpose of the water feature!

Last time I was there in March, there was no water.... Was a lot less therapeutic.... Some person in one of the cabanas was talking very loudly on the phone describing the cabanas, then I heard a crash on the pebbles (don't worry, the pebbles are very noisy) and a lot of swearing. I suppose the swearing would have been a lot worse if the water was there..

Out of the ones I've been to (And I mainly only visit OW lounges, so haven't been to some of the best!), I would rank them:

QF SYD/MEL F <ranked equal, although SYD is slightly better>
CX HKG F <Wing IMHO is nicer than the Pier. Not sure after their renovations though>
JL NRT F
BA T5 F <T3 isn't too bad either, haven't been to Concorde room>.

Used the BA T3 1st Lounge last week for 930am flight - was appalling - cooked to order food was poor - and they had no eggs "sorry we ran out!" bathrooms were dirty (and I mean dirty!) and the champagne was warm and very average.....:(

That's very disappointing to hear :/ I've not been there recently but have overall had good experiences in the past. Will be checking it out in September and hope they have lifted their game by then

I have not has this sort of experience in the T3 1st lounge before. I'll be there again the week after next. I hope this is a one off.

How does Sq F lounge in SIN compare? Is the food as good as QF F in SYD / MEL?

I have no idea how the TG lounge from BKK got in there. I didn't think it was that good.

I think the LH Lounge in Frankfurt is defiantly the best, followed by QF's lounges in Sydney/Melbourne.

I also only know the OW Flounges.

My preferences are:
1. T5
2. Mel
3. Syd
4. Pier

I like T5 because of the open feel. It's spread out, open and bright. I just feel more relaxed their compared to sitting in Mel or Syd. I prefer Mel to Syd because you are better looked after there. Visually Syd is better though...

I thought the SYD F lounge used to be very good, but am finding the food slipping a little bit now. Don't get me wrong, it's still lovely, but portions and use of ingredients used to be so much more :(
Not sure when the last time you were there but having been there twice in the last week I can say thatthe food is as good as ever. I had no complaints.

Of the FLounges that I've personally used:

1. MEL QF - simply superb. Wonderful dining, drinking, spa, business facilities, view etc.
2. SYD QF - along the same lines; not as good as MEL IMHO (busier, less personal service).
3. DUB EY - small lounge, v personal service, surprisingly decent eating.
4. HKG CX Wing - little too quiet/reserved/formal for my liking, though the dining was pretty good.
5. LHR T5 BA - nice and airy; food options a little sparse however the wonderful champagne bar makes up for it..
6. LAX T4 AA - brilliant buffet spread in the morning, lounge AAngels are lovely. Pity it's LAX! :(
7. HKG CX Pier - nice lounge, bit of a dungeon though .. no tarmac views. :(
8. SFO BA - nothing to write home about, but direct plane access from the lounge = awesome.
9. LAX TBIT oneworld - not bad, but gets v crowded in the evenings.
10. HKG QF - didn't much care for it; convenient for the gate QF uses but that's about it.

Currently at the CX The Cabin and my girlfriend thinks the QF SYD J Lounge is much better. Ohhh well, we've got a bit under five unders before our departure time so I think The Wing is next on the visit list, and then The Pier .... depending on where our gate is suppose to be (we don't know yet).

Very curious about EY and DUB! Interesting that a non-flagship lounge rates so highly! Doesn't seem like EY has too many of them. Did you get a chance to try to EY lounge at AUH?

I found the QF J lounge at HKG to be nicer than the F lounge (one of the nicer regional J lounges), though they did serve different champagne at each last time I was there.

Never got to try LAX T4 in the morning - quite surprised you put it there as I've never come across any particularly outstanding AA lounges. Keen to try them again though. :)

Haven't been to a f lounge yet...In the next 12 months I have 4 or maybe 5 overseas trip so will make sure I get some f lounge time...I am now trying to do an international flight from BNE to SYD...

I have only been to Oneworld First Lounges and the ones that standout for me are

SYD QF First Lounge
MEL QF First Lounge
LHR BA First Lounge T5 (I was really impressed with this lounge 2 years ago and it may actually be better than SYD or MEL)
HKG CX Frist Lounge Wing
HKG CX First Lounge Pier

I actually also like the ORD AA Flagship Lounge but it has been 4 years since I have visited.
