Can we get him to move permanently there and install a new Qantas CEO?

Is there anyone with good enough qualifications available without looking overseas? I can't think of anyone with aviation background.

Not sure a "budget" International Air Transport Association will be a good thing!

What about hiring James Strong as a consultant just to reinvigorate the long haul division? at least that would get QF international moving again.

Maybe he can host the next IATA Board Meeting on the Gold Coast, requiring his visitors to fly SYD-OOL :p:p:p

I believe the person you're looking for is now running the competition.

No. I'm avaliable and will happily do the job. No guarantees that I'll be any good at it so if you hold QAN sell now. ;)

But if you look at what Willie Walsh did to BA, there's similarities to what Alan Joyce is doing at QF. The point is, Irish CEOs who previously ran LCCs aren't good choices for full service carriers. Maybe QF needs to merge with someone and form a joint holding company so Joycey can be moved off to it.

How about JB? He's doing good things at Virgin...
