Hey All,
I think Jetstar might have slipped something in today, while all the other great things were going on in aviation today.
Another First for Jetstar - Making Air Travel Easy and Hassle-Free
For starters, they talk about their 100% self serve checkin system. Great I think to myself. Until I see this..
Just as I thought they were going upmarket, to replace the hole left by Virgin Blue. They add a new charge similar to the level of service from TT.
It dosen't bother me tbh, as on JQ I do whatever I can do avoid that huge queue.
What does everybody think?

To enable Jetstar to offer even lower fares, Jetstar will unbundle the use of traditional check-in facilities. This will enable us to pass on even lower fares to customers that chose to use the new self service options.
In a similar way to the unbundling of meals, baggage and other airlines services customers still wanting to use traditional check-in counters will be charged a small fee to cover the costs associated with providing this service. To give customers time to get familiar with our new self service options this fee will not be introduced until 1 November 2011.
