AMEX Network - Coles Express Fuel Voucher (Exp 30 Sept 2010)

I have 5 Amex (inc co-branded ones from banks) and 2 Supplementary cards. So I guess I will visit Coles Express at least 7 times before end of September. Gift vouchers here I come!

Though T&C state:

Cardmembers may only register one Card for this offer. Only transactions made on the Card registered for the offer are eligible. Transactions made on another Card account or a supplementary Card with a different Card account number are not eligible.

Not saying that you will not get more. But I would not be surprised if they data match to exclude it and only post out one per cardmember.

Also I find it strange that the promotion is limited to the first 5,000 to register but I can still register now.

T&C
Participation is limited to the first 5000 Cardmembers who register.

Does not say that registration is limited to 5000 though. Therefore you might register and find out later that you were not one of the first 5000.:-|

That would be extremely cruel and poor programming.

But then what do you expect when many decent programmers have been forced to do something else for a living while IT processing for most major organisations is moved offshore.

It seems AMEX has learnt the lesson... I wish AMEX will offer the 5000 points per x transaction again... (With no cap of course)

Once you apply it does say "This offer is limited to the first 5,000 Cardmembers to apply."

in the terms it says" and you must have received an invitation to register for the Merchant Offer (an “Eligible Cardmember”). " so is this a invite only targeted campaign? i wonder if i call up and asked for it if they will register me as i never got the invite?

I received the offer from the link on this web site and when I registered the response was 'You have successfully registered into the American Express Network Coles Express promotion to receive a $30 Coles Express Gift Card.'

It seems to be fairly open as far as I can see.

Interesting point. Probably another one of those wait and see promotions.

Has Amex made another mistake and they will have to send out a lot more than the 5,000 Coles Express vouchers?

i hope they hounor the deal as i wasted over 30mins on the phone and still the person didnt know anything about it until i told her about it. She said only one amex card issued by amex aust and a $50 gift card purschase at coles express too would qualify but didnt sound too confident. also couldnt answer questions about other banks co branded amex cards etc. i registered my wifes cba amex card i hope they will send us the $30 voucher still?. also i wonder if its only 1 per household? can i register my anz amex card also and qualify then for two $30 vouchers?

Answer is very clear no, as they have stated very clearly that they can cap it at 5000 cardmembers for one card only.

They may choose to extend it to more, but they do not have to.

Registration does not guarantee that you will get a $30 voucher either, as Amex have stated that only the first 5000 will.

Well I guess we all have to try it out for 1 month and wait and see whether we will get the voucher ...

The simple question of why allow more than 5,000 people to register has not ben answered.

According to a lot of members on this thread they have all successfully registered.

Data collection?

When I saw the 5000 limit I didn't bother registering.

But Amex already knows who we are?

Why don't you try to see if your registration has

But the promo includes cobranded cards and I'm not sure Amex knows about them except in general. Maybe Amex want to do a check of the number of cobranded cards to verify what the banks tell them. Or something

I'll try later tonight

Re: AMEX Network - Coles Express Fuel Voucher

Why don't you try to see if your registration has been successful. Has anyone tried registered recently? Surely they would have reached 5,000 registrations by now.

I'll try later tonight

Given the untimely need to cancel my main AMEX I didn't try to register yet.
