Sorry for the delay in replying about the Tapanappa, the packaging certainly exudes a feeling of quality. Elegant, poised, a tinge of translucent cherry/cough medicine in the glass, somewhat understated with none of the varietals having the upper hand (not a fault necessarily). A tad lighter than I was expecting, a surprising ABV of 14.9% all things considered. I'm an unabashed fancier of big-boned reds so not the best of critics when it comes to wines like the Tapanappa, I'm sure others will jump in to disagree with me regarding the weight of this wine and I would concede that it is elegant and complex but lacking in mouthfeel and gravitas for me....
