I thought AY and JL don't operated their own lounge at T3? What am I not seeing?.
Just means the safari is no longer possible for AY and JL ticket holders unless they are codesharing into a T3 airline.
...

CZ moving to T5 which is just BA and IB is more interesting.
Moving Finnair to T5 would have been more logical surely?
Weird
CZ, AY, JL have a JV with BA but then DL and VS also split up

I don’t think this will be the end of it…

Would have thought JL or AY in T5 would make more sense than China Southern

AY business ticket ...
Of course. I was thinking of future “reindeer” route trips but of course both a J ticket and ending up beyond HEL incurs the higher UK departure tax rate…😔. Why I rarely fly beyond Europe ex UK these days…

For now, I guess a J CR on AY LHR-HEL should still work.

All the ones who got moved -DL, AY, JL, LA, CZ did not operate their own lounge.
DL carries 900,000 passengers at LHR and does not have their own lounge

Let that be a lesson to the others remaining who dont.... 🤣

Silver lining for anyone travelling soon, the moves are scheduled for 2028 so the T3 lounge circuit should still work through next year. After that, T4 ends up with a bigger oneworld crowd, so a shared lounge there would make a lot of sense. In the meantime leave extra time for any T3 to T5 connection, the transfer bus plus repeat security adds up

I believe Qantas was the default lounge option for Finnair too at LHR, at least the few times I've been through it in the middle of the day outside of QF times. Hopefully doesn't lead to say QF or others scaling back hours with fewer oneworld members.

Think it is more rough for Virgin and Delta getting split up. Very strange about China Southern moving into the IAG terminal

JV partner with BA but BA has JV agreements with other partners too

LHR-PXX both airlines
LHR-PVG both airlines
LHR-CAN by only CZ
LHR-WUH by only CZ

Other joint ventures:
BA:AA
BA:AY
BA:JL

I believe that all JV codeshares flights on BA aircraft operate out of T5.
