Best Non Flight use of Expiring Krisflyer Miles

The Pelago eSim would have been perfect but they don't have any options for Timor Leste. I'm going to Indonesia later this year but the date isn't clear yet and they want you to specify a date for the eSim.
You can ignore that to some extent. I suspect that’s more for tours.

The eSIM I bought has an activate by 24 July for something bought on the weekend.

OK I will delay as long as possible. I have 1400 expiring end July but not going to Indonesia until Sept, maybe Oct.

Worse case scenario, go to Pelago and sort by price (lowest to highest), there’s heaps of stuff that might be useful for not many points (ie slightly better than toasters!).

Is it just me or does Pelago now require spend over $10 before it will accept Krisflyer points as payment?

Pretty sure the eSIM I purchased at the start of May was only a couple of dollars (used 1106 KF points).

The accommodation I booked in relation to this thread required a minimum 1500 KF expenditure, but I did not see any mimum spend caveats. It was over $10.

Hi I have to use or lose 4000 Kris flyer points , what the best use? I do have Velocity as well. They expire in October and I have a flight at the start of November.

You might find something here. I bought an eSIM with a couple points that were expirying.

I had expiring points I couldn't use a couple of times on different airlines.
In both cases I donated them to a charity eg for SQ it was Make a Wish.

I've got 13 000 miles that aren't expiring soon but I need to keep an eye on them. I don't know why I didn't just put them through VA. I think I'd already requalified WP so wasn't thinking on our return flights to Europe this year.

I've got ~50k miles expiring very soon, with no intention of flying or travelling anytime soon.

I've been looking into non flight redemption options, but so far nothing seems particularly appealing or offers decent value.. KrisShop (only viable if able to collect with a flight and they virtually don't ship anything to Australia), no vrooms redemption need, Kris+ annoyingly advertises miles redemption for JB and Good Guys GC but is a lie and asks for cash payment at the checkout.

Is there a redemption option I've overlooked that offers reasonable value without needing to travel?

Am I pretty much resigned to transferring them back to Velocity and taking the conversion hit? or is there a better way to put them to use before they expire? (I dont see a use case for extending them out either)

Thanks all

I was in a similar situation and transferred them to my Accor account.
It was the best option I could find in a hurry and I can easily convert them into a cash saving on my next room.
Velocity may be better value but I can't see myself booking with VA anytime soon.
For me "best value" is a combination of transfer value and ease of use of the converted miles.

If you're in Sydney or Melbourne (or Singapore) I believe you could redeem at restaurants through Kris+, 50k would be worth $500.

I wonder, does topping up your Kris+ balance with KrisFlyer miles retain the original expiry or gain a new one inside Kris+?

You can but the range of restaurants you can use Kris+ is small in Sydney (and non-existent in Western Sydney), and particularly for restaurants that serve non-Asian cuisine, you run the risk of the restaurant claiming that they don't participate or have no idea how it works. Terrace on the Domain for example claimed it wasn't working when I tried once. ESQ on the other hand knew what I wanted to do.
