The Pelago eSim would have been perfect but they don't have any options for Timor Leste. I'm going to Indonesia later this year but the date isn't clear yet and they want you to specify a date for the eSim.

You can ignore that to some extent. I suspect that’s more for tours.

The eSIM I bought has an activate by 24 July for something bought on the weekend.

OK I will delay as long as possible. I have 1400 expiring end July but not going to Indonesia until Sept, maybe Oct.

Worse case scenario, go to Pelago and sort by price (lowest to highest), there’s heaps of stuff that might be useful for not many points (ie slightly better than toasters!).

Pretty sure the eSIM I purchased at the start of May was only a couple of dollars (used 1106 KF points).

The accommodation I booked in relation to this thread required a minimum 1500 KF expenditure, but I did not see any mimum spend caveats. It was over $10.
