Qantas Points Club Discussion

Ah, I think this might, most likely, follow suit of the QF Titanium Card
I would be most disappointed if the magical credit card turned out to be the QF Titanium card. I'd personally struggle to get value out of this card, albeit I acknowledge that some will disagree with me. I think this is another case where YMMV.

Qantas Money has removed the exclusion period for the SUB reading the fine print for both Platinum and Titanium cards.

Perhaps a sign of things to come. Make more QFF members more incentivised to get the card, especially Titanium. That might be the way to get SC for CR flights come 2028.

So re; Titanium. They've relaxed the $200k salary, still stated on website, but not enforced.

It just wouldn't be for everybody preference or ability to qualify wise so would QF want a card that excludes so many?

The removal of SUB could be a hint of sorts.

I hit PC + overnight, which was a little exciting!

Free QC access, just as I hit Gold (thanks to a few work trips)

The wine and hotel vouchers are good though
If you’re not LTG, that free year of QP should “bank” should you drop back to PS.

I didn’t know about the QC banking. So if I have PC+ to 2028, and Gold/Plat status till 2028, QC access could potentially extend to 2030 if status lost?

Yes, that’s what others have reported. But only 1 year if I recall correctly.

The QC membership years appear to be banked so you should fall back to it if you don't retain Gold in future.
Will be interesting if this bank still happens after PC is done away with. I'll be plat until at least Oct 2027, then if I fall down to gold until Oct 2028 then Silver from Oct 2029 I would be surprised if I have QC waiting for me.

It should work the same as paid QP membership.

Peeps have gone years with WP/SG and finally fallen to PS and their residual paid QP membership kicks in. Or they reach LTG and ask to get paid out the residual value (the later presumably doesn’t work with a freebie QP year!).

Well fingers crossed if I fall back down to silver it's waiting for me. 🤞

And remembered I have LTG.
Ditto. First time ever getting PC+ last member year and a freebie QP year is worth even less than the 2x Lounge passes with just PC….

BUT, that was kinda the point of PC. Give some decent perks to big spenders that weren’t necessarily regular flyers (ie not SG+). It was actually reasonably well thought through.

Who knows what the Venn diagram of PC+ and LTG/P looks like, but I expect it’s wafer thin.
