What cheeses me off

Just cancelling internet with iinet. Got the spiel about we're sorry blah blah and I said I am already connected to the new provider.

So then I get bombarded with emails and texts about a reference number for when I move and offering me deals on phone deals.

Try calling Optus to cancel a service… they will fight tooth and nail to convince you to keep a service they can see has no usage. The rep will hang up on you rather than having to cancel a service with their login.

Oh yes. We'd switched to Telstra after the great Optus fail. For internet. Told them we didn't need so much data. Tried to reduce price with - heaps more data 🤦‍♀️. Then finally agreed to cancel. She looked at our usage as we still had the mobile phones. She commented - oh, you don't use much data do you! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

I knew it would be pain to cancel over the phone and the Optus booth won't do cancellations so I did it in a shopping mall which constrained me from raising my voice and swearing.

The trick is not to call!

When I switched from Optus mobile to amaysim (yes, technically still Optus), they just cancelled the Optus service while activating the new service.

Doesn’t NBN work the same way?

Last Sunday in the UK so decided to have a Sunday Roast in the hopes of actually getting a better than barely average roast as we have had here to date. Went to three pubs in York.

First one no roasts - we haven't changed the signs everywhere advertising them. Ok then Gammon Steak - that's off. Next pub 2 out of 4 roasts finished (1800) and no roast potatoes. Third pub - we don't do food.

Had a lovely Indian instead.

And now have two emails

One says your service will finish on the 5th October and the other says it will finish on the 5th November. 🤬 🤷‍♀️

This was a sim in an iPad that was no longer used… no need to churn what you don’t use!

Hi there, yes I pop into the store since as they won’t argue in case I do raise my voice

That was another service… the one in question I called back and they cancelled… boy did they cancel it.

With extreme prejudice 🤣

(Fair to say words were had)
