What cheeses me off

You have to be either <expletive> stupid and/or <expletive> rude...

Security scanner line...
  • Roll your tray as far to the end as it can go, then pick up your stuff. Don't do it at the outlet and block all the other trays while you get your <expletive> together.
  • If you need to, take your tray off the line and to a bench. Now you're not in the way.
  • Once you're done with your tray, return it to the end of the conveyor or in the hopper. Don't leave it on the conveyor.
So <expletive> sick of seeing the conveyor outlet crowded with half a dozen trays because conceited inconsiderate <expletive in plural> can't be bothered to push them into the hopper. Way to back the whole line up, dropkick idiots.
Just unprepared, unfamiliar with how it works, not wanting to do the wrong thing, and unaware of their surrounds.

I was sitting on skybus a few weeks ago, a young couple, very early 20s, were already checking off their ‘preparedness’ for the flight… including already having having turned all phones to flight mode!! And this was 5 mins out of Spencer Street, with another 20 mins to go until even reaching the airport. They has a,so weighed their cabin bag (6.5 kilos) but were worried their water bottles would push them over the limit!

They were also heavily concerned that the bus would arrive at the airport 2hrs10mins before their flight (JQ) and they feared they may miss the recommended check-in time of 2 hours.

You see the same thing at the entrance to the cabin bag x-ray… people all line up behind bay 1, instead of lining up behind all the bays. These people don’t want to appear ‘rude’ by pushing in (even though they’re not).

So I can completely understand some folk wouldn’t think to move their tray down… they’re overwhelmed with the process, and don’t want to do anything ‘wrong’. So they just do what everyone else does… which is grab their stuff immediately it comes out, and don’t shuffle down to make room for others!

A benefit in having my wheelchair and being able to take it to the plane door is bypassing the scanner and getting a pat down nd explosives test. Bypassed the long queue of JQ passengers.
