ALL Platinum's get at least two SNUs to use.
While that in itself is fine, generally they do cost to use.
If a room Is $x to book strait out, to use an SNU appears to always inrease the base $x cost.
For example, last year I had a stay where the cost would have been under $400 for two nights, but to use an SNU cost ~$50 per night more. In this case I felt the premium was worth it due to the experience. (See below)
However these days when looking around to redeem them, especially in Oz, the additional costs I have come across to simply use them does not seem worthwhile.
To be clear, I think little of booking a room for under $150 per night. I think thrice before booking a room for over $200 but when that is the difference between using an SNU, I'll ordinary take the cheaper option.
Are there any properties out there with cost effective (cheap)way of using an SNU?
