I know someone who fell down the partially built lift well in their home in the middle of the night. Almost killed them. Many of our neighbours are getting lifts installed in their homes as they get older and less mobile. We had a group visit us and most of them have placed lift orders now for their two and three level homes. It means that they can live longer at their homes.
Passive smoking?Cause was Lung Cancer even though he was never a smoker.
Friend died in her thirties from small cell lung cancer. Never smoked. But passive smoking abounded in those days. Even the state cricketers were handed out cartons of cigarettes from Benson and Hedges every time they played. Major sponsors back then. She was a cricketers wife.Passive smoking?
Maybe 20% of lung cancers ococur in non smokers
There are also certain types of lung cancer which seem to occur mainly in non smokers.
I recall our family doctor, when I was a child, always had a fa_ going and an ashtray brimming with stubs. When I first started work, travelled an hour in the train to Melbourne when they had smoking & non smoking carriages. I remember vividly he enormous cloud of smoke that came out the door, in a full carriage of smokers. Can you imagine how people would have stunk of smoke?Friend died in her thirties from small cell lung cancer. Never smoked. But passive smoking abounded in those days. I never smoked but would come home from being out to dinner and my hair stank of smoke. I know that no one wants renters smoking but think they have to allow it on balconies?
That's true here in SA too. Never thought of it like that (for our property that we rent out). Thats rather interesting.I don't know about SA but in NSW balconies are still considered common property. Our Strata has a by-law which says no smoking on common property, you can be fined for smoking on the balconies.
Often when leaving the complex I see smoking renters just outside the gate on the street having their pathetic puff.
I don't want to take anything away from his diagnosis but honestly the beat up over a BCC. Just headline grabbing from the media

Many of us can. As per @VPS , media seem to catastrophically overreact to a very common BCC that in 99% of cases can be treated easily and simply with no ongoing issues.I might be able to give him some advice!
Got my results today from pathology, all good, clear margins, so I'm happy/

When you get to a couple of hundred incisions, let me know
And that was soooo many years ago too before they even had anaesthesia <exiting right now>When you have a malignant cancer removed in your 20s and have 249 stitches in your leg then you get a bit blasé about sensationalist media Plus an impressive scar from the skin graft that’s still visible 40 years later
