I was asked by the Royal Society Of Tasmania to give a 30 minute lecture at an event they were holding in the north of Tasmania. Required quite a lot of preparation and of course time driving up there and back.

I arrived 45 minutes prior to make sure my talk was loaded correctly and I knew how to operate the pointer thing.

Problem - they couldn’t get the computer to talk to the screen to show the slides - mine or anyone else’s.

The so-called tech guy was …

We started 45 minutes late with me, and 15 minutes later someone arrived with their own projector so the talk was interrupted so that could be set up. All the while people coming and going - very distracting.

Not happy, Jan nor, I expect, the paying punters who attended

Arrived home tonight around 2045hrs to find someone in the process of parking across my driveway. I gave them 30 seconds before I switched into WTFDYTYD mode but they drove away before I needed get out of the car. Could have spoilt a fabulous day with friends. Glad it wasn't 5 minutes later.

@prozac feel your frustrations. We live in a tiny narrow Avenue . With no standing on both sides. Because it happens to be central in our little village area people park their huge honking four wheel drives and in our street usually directly under the No Stopping sign. If husband is in his car he can't make it extremely difficult for him to come down the road . He normally gets out and takes a photo of the car under the sign to Snap Send Solve then grumps lol

Unfortunately, MrsK can't consume cows' milk without it reacting badly with her. We swapped over to Oat Milk, as it's a dry land crop and doesn't have the negative impact on the environment growing almonds does.
