Inconsistent QFF points given on Partner Airline

I've just returned from a SYD-SCL-EZE return on LATAM. Booked directly with LATAM, as a J trip (although the SCL-EZE leg is PE as there's no J). QFF number on the booking, one PNR.
Outbound I was credited QFF points for both legs of the journey, from SYD-EZE. On my return I was only credited QFF points for the SCL-SYD leg. I submitted a Missing Points claim to QFF for the EZE-SCL leg, but computer said NO!
So, is this rejection of claim on that one leg correct, or should I pursue my claim, given the logic that it's one PNR to rule them all and points crediting should be consistent?
If so, how best to do that outside the Claim Missing Points channel?
Any advice much appreciated!

No codeshares involved? What was the booking class of EZE-SCL?

You need to look at each sector individually, each can be in a different fare class.

So not a codeshare journey. As mentioned, whole PNR was as a J booking but as SCL-EZE does not have J, it defaults to PE.
Full QFF points awarded on both the outbound SYD-SCL-EZE (one actual J, one PE - and QFF points awarded accordingly); only awarded on the inbound SCL-SYD (actual J, same QFF points awarded as the outbound), but not on the EZE-SCL (PE) sector of the return leg - computer said no to this sector.
Whole return journey PNR booked in J. Not logical!

What was the fare class (RBD) of the sector that didn't earn, and is it in this table?

That is true; yet why was the appropriate QFF points awarded for both legs SYD-SCL SCL-EZE on the outbound, but only on the SCL-SYD sector of the return, same class, same PNR?
For the third time, what fare class was EZE-SCL booked as?

You need to find the booking class of the flights, which aren't on that...

(EDIT Looking on Matrix ITA, economy books into L while business is I, Z or D. No premium economy. I suspect what's happened here is that you've been sold a premium economy ticket on a plane that doesn't have premium economy. I reckon you'll find the ticket is actually economy. Anyway, your boarding pass might have it, and you should send it to Qantas.)

Thanks - it's a weird one. The flight (in both directions SCL-EZE; EZE-SCL) did have 3 rows of PE. We were in front of the curtain divider and got the "posh nosh". The boarding pass from EZE-SCL shows "PECONOMY GRUPO 1" on it.
Just inconsistent that QFF awarded the points all the way from SYD-EZE but not EZE-SYD in exactly the same circumstances!

EDIT: Outbound SYD-SCL 8750 points; SCL-EZE 715 points. Inbound EZE-SCL 0 points; SCL-SYD 8750 points.

You need to find the fare class. Other info is irrelevant.

Tbe fare class being requested is represented by a single letter, often referred to as a "fare buclet".

It is this underlying fare bucket that is needed.

This is what LATAM supplied...

Whole return journey: Premium Business.

Did you receive maybe an electronic ticket receipt attached to the email confirmation? Does this receipt show a "Fare Basis" at all?

E.g. checking one of my LATAM tickets from last year, I cannot find the fare class obviously shown anywhere but I can see that the Fare Basis was GLEKDZ8I. This would indicate it was booked in G class, in my case.

I'd email the boarding pass to [email protected] and argue that you're due for 715 points.

(Sometimes, PE can merely be a glorified seat selection rather than a separate category of fare. Perhaps the system can cope with a ticket married to a business segment, but not where it's standalone on a route that doesn't actually have the underlying class of fare usually.)

(EDIT - this is weird - selecting 'premium economy' rather than 'business' on Matrix ITA pulls up fares that have Oz-SCL in business Z and SCL-EZE in premium economy W or P (and vv) and on the same fare basis code. So if the underlying fare class is indeed W or P, the points should be crediting.)
