ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Hey folks.

Individual tax payer here with a chunky ATO bill to settle. I managed to clear something similar last year with a huge stack of the $250 fee-free Coles Mastercards but that offer seems to have vanished.

Does anyone know if you can use Qantas Pay to pay the ATO and earn the 1pt per $4?
If you can, it should (?) be fee free.

Compared to the 2% ish options elsewhere for individuals using an AMEX (I don't have Zip) it seems like a reasonable deal. Accumulate a bunch of points at no cost.

Has anyone done it before?

Sorry, I don’t know about Qantas pay. I use pay. com.au to pay my tax bills.

Do you use pay.com.au to pay personal tax or business tax? Last time I look at their service it did not seem to offer a pathway for personal PAYG tax payments.

Primarily business but I have paid personal tax bills with it too. Maybe you need to set it up as a business account first I’m not sure but that’s how I set mine up first.
