They don't sell wine, but rather dig up deals. I used them to grab several bottles of Chassagne Montrachet from Dans a few weeks back for $60, rather than the $195 Dan's was charging at my local store.
Just for this nugget I am signing up!

Confirmation email took 30 mins to arrive so you need to be patient. Or maybe it was just my bad luck.

I have received a SMS from my wine broker there offering it for $35

Happy to pass the contact deets on. However a few warning signs
1. It is under screwcap
2. Sam Kim is the reviewer gave it 97 points.

It is also on the winery website
Seemingly another one of the many wines made solely to be sold as a discount mystery deal. Price is artificially inflated to then be able to discount it heavily. This one is not really part of the winery’s regular range (as expected). The screwcap and labelling are also a giveaway - all of NR’s wines above a certain price point are under cork with defined packaging characteristics and this one clearly deviates. Nevertheless, keen to hear how it drinks.

From the mailing list email:
"On top of this new release, we have also raided our cellar for something old(er) — a very special Mystery Grenache Pack. Without spoiling the surprise, this special Grenache 6-pack is drawn from our Icon Series.

It will be Ancestor Vine Grenache. Hard to tell the vintage, could be 2023 or older!! One f Australia's top Grenaches, and is RRP $100. At $50, it is cheaper than I have bought at auction,, usually around $60 + commission.
I received 2019 Ancestor Vine Grenache. Excited to try it.

It’s hard to know if it was made to be sold this way or if it was made with different intentions and has ended up this way. The lack of tasting note information on website and lack of social media activity raises some thoughts about where things are at.

I don't care so much about the screwcap. Purely concerned about taste and value. Mine arrived today. Can't wait to try them.
