I saw those two a couple of days ago. VM have had Mollydooker previously, but not for many years until now.The discounts aren't great, but there's a couple of Mollydooker wines on VM this morning. Is this a first, or were they there before?
I loved the 2017 Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk but everything after was not great, my understanding is that they changed wine makersFor Glen Eldon fans, this is the Twisted Trunk Reserve Shiraz 2023

Shiraz 2023 - Black Market Deal #58487 - Red Wine
Hooley dooley. Old vine mastery. This has all the ethereal complexity that you can only really achieve when harvesting fruit from ancient vines. Gnarled and moody in the glass, as it's allowed to drink in a little air you'll see it evolve and open up to you. Something special to be sure.www.vinomofo.com
I also liked the 2017 more than recent vintages.I loved the 2017 Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk but everything after was not great, my understanding is that they changed wine makers
Usual buy price for Grey Label is $21-$25.Grey Label looks sharp - @redbigot can you point me to the better price, I'll bite.
I'm looking at another 6 Craggy Range, all fluff aside, a very smart drop.
Really like the wine but 2023? I thought they aged them a bit. RB any thoughts on 23 Barosaa reds? For Glen Eldon fans, this is the Twisted Trunk Reserve Shiraz 2023

I'm not really focussed on 2023, still picking off the late-releases from 2021 and that will be the end of my buying of cellaring reds.Really like the wine but 2023? I thought they aged them a bit. RB any thoughts on 23 Barosaa reds?

2021 and 2022 were very good SA vintages. Various producers(Kalleske being one) have told me 2023 is a lesser vintage and although good wineries and winemakers will still make good wine that is quite drinkable.I'm not really focussed on 2023, still picking off the late-releases from 2021 and that will be the end of my buying of cellaring reds.
I've only tried 2 wines from 2023 that I can compare to 2021 versions and neither has been as good as the 2021 vintage at the same stage. Very small sample and won't get much bigger from me.
That's a sobering thoughtand that will be the end of my buying of cellaring reds.
Yeah, advancing years and 3,000 bottles in the cellar, aiming to leave (just) a few good ones for the wake. That's a sobering thought
So it is you, James!Yeah, advancing years and 3,000 bottles in the cellar, aiming to leave (just) a few good ones for the wake.
Yes, Craggy Range Sophia. Has been offered before...Is this Craggy Range?

Breathtaking. All you have to do is say the name of this producer and every Somm, Dick and Harry within earshot will start salivating. This wine's weighty reputation precedes it, but does it live up to the hype? Is the pope catholic? An absolute pleasure to drink. No notes.www.vinomofo.com
Like the inflated $RRPYes, Craggy Range Sophia. Has been offered before...
