Strategy to obtain US Amex

MsP just knocked back for CSP due to insufficient credit history. She has a free CC since Nov24 with her US bank. Note she is living in US. I suggested she call and plead her case. Any other suggestions?

Won’t hurt - it may not change the outcome but she can try and plead her case. Maybe have a reason why she needs it - Increase in spending and wants to purchase through Chase travel - not sure if anything will work if credit file is thin but you never know- she already has the hit on her file so maximise it

Chase generally want 12 months of credit history before they'll even consider approval.

Since she is in the US, I've read you can bypass the 1yr credit history if she goes in branch and open a checking account. Put some funds into it and try apply in branch see if she gets approved.
I concur, got my CSP approved by going in branch and also opened checking account at the same time. What followed was a little hairy but I hope it stays open and fully functional now - I quite like it - though it's taken some spend away from other cards.

Has anyone had any experiences getting a capital one card sent overseas?
I wouldn't recommend it. Their cs are not competent

I got my redelivery after quite a few months spending without physical card as card got sent to a relative

For P2. Not successfully then had to pay out of pocket for the delivery from my address

I and P2 both got approved at 10months and after checking account opening at branch

Can someone please advise

P2 got approved email a week ago from Chase but card no where to be seen. Do we need to call in for card delivery after approved?

I wanted P2 to call but got rejected. Gosh, I wish I could do everything without involving P2

I just got mine approved and sent about 3 weeks ago - mine got posted automatic when approved. I wanted it redirected to my mailbox in US - they did that over phone - 5 day for new card to be delivered

I feel your pain for P2 - AI needs to solve this for us

Unless it is a premium card (eg Sapphire Reserve), they are not expedited and can take up to 2 weeks to arrive at a US address.

no luck getting my Chase cards approved :(
not sure if I really need to wait 1 year since my ITIN... though my credit history with AMEX US is far longer :(

I got approved for CIBU after P2 2 DAYS, called in and got the card 2 days after. I was hoping I can post both cards to myself together. THE clock sticking and I'm nervous :p
