Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

I can't access the my cashback section in the app, been having the same issue for a while, anyone experiencing the same issue by any chance?
Mine hangs up which is actually an improvement on getting a message that "I'm not eligible for any offers", if I'm being optimistic.

It used to be all tickety-boo but I become ineligible after getting a 50k QFF points ready credit which, for some reason, required me to get a new app login. A few back 'n' forths yielded no reason for my sudden ineligibility nor any resolution, but I got an email of this months' offers. Oddly enough, for ages my cashback would also hang up and I didn't think anything about it but then it just magically starting working. So hopefully that will happen again.

In the meantime, I used the Special Gift Cards offer over the weekend, as per the email I received. No sign of the credit yet of course but I hope it comes through because I plan to the Discount Chemist Warehouse one this week.

Seems like those interpretations are not correct.

So I just called Allianz a few minutes ago, and asked them if "return overseas travel ticket means an air or cruise ticket departing from and returning to Australia" means both must be on one ticket because of the word "AN", or OK if on separate tickets. (I wanted to use their online form in order to get a written response, but the submit button of their online form doesn't work)

The staff said that, the word "an" means a ticket to come back, it does not say and does not mean one ticket for going and coming. I then asked if I were to fly out on one ticket one airline, come back on a different airline on a different ticket, he said this is OK. I then asked if I take a cruise ship to another country, then fly back on another? He said this is also OK, as I have "an" return ticket to come back.
I was wondering about that as well all my air tickets are one way with different airlines. Then I return to Australia using Krisflyer points does paying the taxes on that SA flight count a paid for airfare and qualify for the fee travel insurance. Anyone?

Booked a SIA J Europe return using Krisflyer points in 2019 and paid 'fees' using Citi after ringing them to confirm that paying total cash cost met the criteria. Yes was the response, still that was 6 years ago - so I'd make that call and note down date, time and name of who you speak with.

Never cough/u/me.

Have you read "Citi Credit Cards Complimentary Insurance Policy Information Booklet Effective 1 July 2025"?

"- spend at least $500 on your prepaid travel costs; or
- obtain your return overseas travel ticket via your airline frequent flyer program, provided a minimum of 15,000 points were transferred to that frequent flyer program from points earned on a Citi branded card or via Citi Rewards, over a 12 month period prior to obtaining the overseas travel ticket;
"

If your tax is not greater than $500, and you did not transfer points from Citi to SQ, then you are not covered.

Actually I can't really remember if The points were directly put into SIA or to Velocity than converted to SIA from from Velocity that was done over 3 years ago.As for at least $500 spend being charged on the card, with all the airfares combined easily passed that condition. I think I'll give them a call when I get back from my current excursion.

It needs to be within the last 12 months, so you better find your paper trail, as they could ask for evidence.

I generally don't bother with the plane ticket requirement anymore, as it's much easier to simply charge $500 of hotels and walking tours. Less headache.

Same here. Good to know it is a widespread issue.

A very weird one tonight:
Dear MELso

We've observed what we believe are business-related transactions on your Citi Premier Card ending in xx_x. As part of your Credit Card Terms and Conditions and Other Important Information (Terms and Conditions), business transactions are not permitted. We request that you don't make any further business-related transactions on your account, or we may need to close your account in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
Given that I have put precisely one work-related transaction through in the last year (for a practising certificate I need for my job - as a government employee!) I'm not sure where they're getting this idea from. Anyway, have sent them a 'please explain' email given that I'm keen to retain my FFFL card and not have it cancelled due to Citi stupidity.

I presume this is just Citi's systems being rubbish but I'm curious if anyone else has been mistakenly flagged recently (especially after incurring several travel expenses as I just have in the last week or so, booking as I did quite a few hotels and award flights)?

I got this email today too. I was also worried that they might close my FFFL card so I called them. Phone agent agreed that my 5 transactions for the month (all low value) were not business related and they would email the relevant department and pass on the message.

Glad to hear it's not just me. Sounds like (as expected), Citi's/NAB's systems are being s***.

EDIT - it seems that lots of people have received the email. What a total cough-up on the part of NAB...
