Strategy to obtain US Amex

No it's not typo and it's USD.

SO I am spending more than I should???? Need to look at the package and the way I am handling it then.
I had this address since September 24and spent about us$400, I guess try to combine mails and also consider using usps air first mail for none urgent staff.

IME depends on the provider. MyUS offer only UPS - it’s very expensive and overkill for the non critical type of mail.

I’ve now moved to another provider. They do offer USPS but aside from the much slower delivery, it’s pretty exxy as well. I’ve come to the conclusion we’re a market to be milked for all we’re worth as we consider it a cost of doing business.

I've been living in the US now for almost 2 years so I wanted to provide an update on this. I ended up getting an Amex Gold card, which has been great. 4 MR points per $1 spent on restaurants and supermarkets, and 3 MR points per $1 spent on airline bookings directly with airlines, has been very impactful points earning.

I've really enjoyed the transfer partner options. I've transferred MR points to Qantas, AC Aeroplan and BA Avios.

The gold metal card also feels very classy, which is a nice bonus.

It is soon going to be time to leave the US. I am feeling torn about what to do with this card. The USD $325 annual fee is steep. I am deciding whether to downgrade to a green card or close the account altogether. The latter seems to make sense in terms of fees, but I'll be giving up that beautiful list of transfer partners with 1:1 ratios.

What would you do?
Consider the fee free BBP which will allow you store and transfer your points .

If I have an existing chase profile with an Oz add listed can I apply for a new chase card and have it sent directly to Oz ?

I am still on myUS - Australia Post was an option and I think it got replaced with Aramex. Cheaper, but definitely takes longer for the card to arrive. If it is needed for a SUB then DHL is the go to one but for a replacement one then no rush so I go for Aramex.

For cap1 checking account bonus, ACH transfer from IBKR

I’m done with C1. My business CC got shut down even though it had been approved and before I even activated the card - glad I didn’t forward it to AU. They gave me a BS reason. I’m done with C1 for now. Just wanted the 2X on every category.

I think I’ve done the most I can with Amex & will start to close down business & Gold cards as I don’t need them anymore so will likely not be an attractive customer for further offers. I’ll have Green and BBP cards - I think that’s enough. Can’t justify the AFs on those other cards now I have the SUBs.

I have CSP and I don’t want to push my luck there with an INK.

Any other institution I should be looking at which I might have overlooked? Is my intention to shut down to 2 Amex cards likely to set off alarm bells for them? I have heaps of MR points in my US account - mostly earned from AU cards.

Online after I hold their CC For 6 months or so
Hi Mate, did you receive the invitation to open c1 checking by email? I tried to apply online yesterday without invitation, and have been requested to call them. On the phone I was told ITIN holder needs to attend to branch to open checking..

Yes this is my understanding.

If you try and fill it out online it makes you say

“Under the penalties of perjury, I certify that:
...
3. I am a US citizen or other US person and
..."

Which obviously doesn't apply to us, and there is no option to alter this.

All I remembered - initially when I first started the Journey - I could not open Account Online hence I turned to HSBC route. Then After holding their CC for awhile - I could.

Please advised - I made a mistake applying for Ink Unlimited - got rejected - Wanted to do Reconsideration but found out this card impose Oversea Transaction fee. Does it worth it to get the card though? What do you think? No Annual Fee +1.5% cash back on all transactions v.s. Oversea Transaction fee 3%? Of course I want their bonus which I can convert to UR as holding CSP.

Should I do reconsideration for this card?

Due to forex fee, I reckon CIP is a better option. However, CIU is still good for SUB, if you signed with a decent SUB (e.g., early May 75k+$100+$300) then you could consider getting it approved.

Nice. Don't leave any money in C1. Shutdown is real possibility.
I got 300 from chase last week for an IBKR xfer.
Waiting on BOA.

Do you mind sharing BS reason and did you try to solve with C1?- just wanted to understand for myself and everyone else if we encounter any issues like you
