Strategy to obtain US Amex

No it's not typo and it's USD.

SO I am spending more than I should???? Need to look at the package and the way I am handling it then.
I had this address since September 24and spent about us$400, I guess try to combine mails and also consider using usps air first mail for none urgent staff.

IME depends on the provider. MyUS offer only UPS - it’s very expensive and overkill for the non critical type of mail.

I’ve now moved to another provider. They do offer USPS but aside from the much slower delivery, it’s pretty exxy as well. I’ve come to the conclusion we’re a market to be milked for all we’re worth as we consider it a cost of doing business.

I've been living in the US now for almost 2 years so I wanted to provide an update on this. I ended up getting an Amex Gold card, which has been great. 4 MR points per $1 spent on restaurants and supermarkets, and 3 MR points per $1 spent on airline bookings directly with airlines, has been very impactful points earning.

I've really enjoyed the transfer partner options. I've transferred MR points to Qantas, AC Aeroplan and BA Avios.

The gold metal card also feels very classy, which is a nice bonus.

It is soon going to be time to leave the US. I am feeling torn about what to do with this card. The USD $325 annual fee is steep. I am deciding whether to downgrade to a green card or close the account altogether. The latter seems to make sense in terms of fees, but I'll be giving up that beautiful list of transfer partners with 1:1 ratios.

What would you do?
Consider the fee free BBP which will allow you store and transfer your points .

If I have an existing chase profile with an Oz add listed can I apply for a new chase card and have it sent directly to Oz ?

I am still on myUS - Australia Post was an option and I think it got replaced with Aramex. Cheaper, but definitely takes longer for the card to arrive. If it is needed for a SUB then DHL is the go to one but for a replacement one then no rush so I go for Aramex.

For cap1 checking account bonus, ACH transfer from IBKR
