Dear Forum watchers.

I have just posted a 18-20 min video documentary on my blog (the Business Of Online Travel) which follows a number of hard core mileage collectors as they go on mileage runs to maintain status. Includes a guy that paid people in Thailand to fly a particular Thai route four times a day to rack up star alliance miles.

I can't yet post the link as I am too new to the forum. If you want to watch the video then please google "Mile Run: Frequent flyer miles" and you will find the link

cheers
Tim

Interesting video - note many mabers of this forum have FlyerTalk handles.

(... and have met Randy Peterson, the FT founder [the dude with the white flowing hair])

Very interesting video.

I am still confused on how he earned "miles" by using other people to fly in Thailand. Maybe someone can elaborate.

In some programs, miles/points used to be transferable with little or no restriction.

Imagine the QFF "Family Transfer" without being limited to:
  • Number of points (Min/Max)
  • Frequency of transfers
  • Restricted to "family members"

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Great vid.

A very interesting short film.

Recently posted on FT, but I know many of us have no access to FT at the moment. Sorry if I have contravened some protocol - but its very cool.
