Perhaps not Hobart at all?Hobart isn't always the best. I got one as bronze (judging by the accent) and was told I couldn't book a flight to US without applying for an ESTA first.

It is very difficult to add a domestic leg at the start but not impossible. I think it's worth trying by calling multiple times when you have spare time and asking. It might be a waste of time but I think it's worth a shot.Hi All,
Succeffully booked Business Class.
QF MEL -> LAX
AA LAX -> DFW (Transit)
AA DFW -> MSY
AA MSY -> PHX (Transit)
AA PHX -> LAS
AS LAS -> LAX (Transit)
AA LAX -> DFW (Transit)
QF DFW -> MEL
QF MEL -> SYD
Took almost 2 weeks to get an E-Ticket for an updated itinerary and calling every few days
I want to add a leg at the beginning SYD->MEL and called qantas who do not see any award availibiliity to add, They can see it for the day after though (Which wont help)
I can see plenty, I evben made a successful booking.
Thoughts on getting the flight added? Just keep calling?
Should I request a specific term or something so they have a better understanding?
Thank you all.
appreciate all the work you put in to these forums.
Yes Mel - Syd is ticketed.It is very difficult to add a domestic leg at the start but not impossible. I think it's worth trying by calling multiple times when you have spare time and asking. It might be a waste of time but I think it's worth a shot.
Do you have ticketed MEL-SYD on the same booking, because I thought once you returned to your city of departure that was the end of the booking.
On the same PNR as your other flights?Yes Mel - Syd is ticketed.
Incorrect. HUACA.Has anyone come up against this restriction on existing bookings accessing availability before?
The final classic award seats to complete next years OWA are now showing up as available on the Qantas website. I called up today to add them to our booking and I was advised (by Hobart) that that classic award inventory was not available to add to an existing booking.
On my OWA in Sept/Oct it changed with each connecting flight journey. From memory if you check your booking on rj.com it will show the most signifcant carrier for each leg or segment of the itinerary. (Sector is not a thing in IATA speak).Hi, can someone please let me know what the Most Significant Carrier is for a OWA (all economy)? I am leaving Australia on QF then flying JL, AY, AA, AS. One set of flights is DUB - ORD - SEA on AA, bags included. Next day, less than 24 hours, SEA - MSO on AS, no bags included. Is the MSC the first carrier for the OWA or is it sector by sector?
Many thanks
Thanks for thatOn my OWA in Sept/Oct it changed with each connecting flight journey. From memory if you check your booking on rj.com it will show the most signifcant carrier for each leg or segment of the itinerary. (Sector is not a thing in IATA speak).

Thanks. Helps knowing what you're doing well in advance (and being happy to pay 20k in change fees to add every leg individually)I'm not often envious of others' itineraries, but that one is a masterpiece.
Is CTA-MAD on IB? One way flights on IB often have to be priced manually. Try again with another agent.I'm wanting to change the FCO-MAD leg to be a CTA-MAD, taking it to 34,282mi. I've had a couple of agents be able to identify the availability but unable to price the subsequent itinerary. Is it possible that 34,282 is too far on QF's system or should I try again with more agents?
Correct - thanks for the input.Is CTA-MAD on IB? One way flights on IB often have to be priced manually. Try again with another agent.
Good luck, keep calling until you get an agent who can do it for you.Correct - thanks for the input.
