They still haven’t fixed it - I have the same issue ie associated with expired Kris Flyer account and Singapore Air are looking into it. Do you remember what they ended up doing to fix you up? Was it a simple process for them to disassociate your old account - they’ve tried to do that with mine but no joy so far
Strangely enough we had the same problem with Mrs serfty's accounts early this month.
Went to link new account in SQ profile and received the Velocity "already linked message". I contacted Krisflyer and after some back and forth providing old number, new number, velocity number was advised that there no linkage for either the old number or the new number. But I was still getting the "already linked" message.
In the end I got it done and transferred some Velocity to KrisFlyer.
As I remember it (over a couple of days):
- Logged in to new KrisFlyer account.
- Added Velocity number
- Selected "Link"
- Received "already linked with another account" message.
- Started Dialogue with KrisFlyer Support; they wanted to know old SQ number which I advised - they then came back nothing linked, old or new.
- Removed Velocity number from new SQ account
- Logged into Velocity account
- Old SQ number was showing
- Removed SQ number from Velocity
- Logged out of Velocity
- Logged into SQ
- Added Velocity Number ... but did not do the secondary "LINK" part
- Logged out of SQ
- Logged into Velocity
- Added new SQ number and linked (This appeared Successful)
- Logged out of Velocity
- Logged into SQ
- Checked Profile - now showing as linked
- Logged out of SQ
- Logged into Velocity and initiated transfer of 5K points - Came back successful
- Logged into SQ - 55% points were there.
