Having massive issues with a Qantas Classic Award booking flying American Airlines from San Jose del Cabo to SFO. Tickets were originally secured in 2021 and successfully ticketed. AA changed the flight schedule in March 2022, I received an email from Qantas telling me I didn’t need to do anything and a new ticket would be sent. After a month of silence and no new ticket, I reached out via Messenger to have this chased up (as per Allan Joyce’s helpful advice) and was promptly ignored by Qantas staff (no surprise there). After 2 hours on the phone I was told that the flights had now been submitted for ticketing and I would receive my new ticket in 24-48 hours. Again, nothing from Qantas. Another 2 hours on the phone and was advised that the previous agent had not processed the request properly and that she had now re-submitted the ticketing request and would call me the following day to confirm. 4 days later and still nothing from Qantas. I am at my wits end with this airline, is there any other way to tackle this to ensure it is done correctly before I miss out altogether on my business class seats?

So an update to above, after spending another 2.5hrs on hold with Qantas only to get cut off mid call with no resolution (and of course no call back), I tried reaching out to American Airlines, who answered the phone in 15 minutes. They were extremely helpful and were able to locate my booking and confirm that it was indeed ticketed (despite Qantas not seemingly knowing what is going on), provided me with an AA booking reference that I was able to use to access my booking on their website, and bring up an itinerary showing a confirmed and ticketed booking (I was even able to select my seats). I’m not going to waste any more of my time with Qantas, they will now be my airline of last resort

So sorry to hear this mate.. I stumbled across your post while trying to figure out my own problems. Try calling this number 1300659116. The Hold time is usually less than one hour and sometimes you get put through to Qantas premium in Hobart. Best time to call would be 7am. Best of luck!

Thanks Issac, even though I confirmed my flights with AA directly last night I tried this number early this morning and got through pretty quickly (although the lady was South African) so not convinced I was speaking to someone in Hobart. She seems to have sorted it out, I received my confirmation and e-tickets a couple of hours later. Many thanks and good luck with your own issue
