I recall reading that if cancelling a DSC booking to a voucher and rebooking it should qualify for the DSC assuming the flights fall within the window. Is this definitely the case?

Is it because the voucher retains the PNR?

Historically this has been the case - yes.

Though more recently QF has been “helpful” by sometimes converting a flight credit to a QANTAS Pass in which case you’d get a new PNR with a new booking.

Has anyone received any DSC yet? Just curious as reading through the thread it would appear not.

as I said in an earlier post, it looks like T&Cs were amended saying DSCS should land FROM 8 weeks after flying.

Last year's T&C's said "up to 6 weeks" but realistically they credited within a few days of flying in most instances. I wonder what was so wrong with that and why they would want to enhance it to credit from 8 weeks after flying.

To be fair, "from" or "up to" is almost necessary in these T&Cs isn't it? Otherwise my reading is they'd have to credit the DSCs at the precise time you travelled 8 weeks ago or be in breach of their own terms.

In no way does that excuse the bizarre 2 month wait for the DSCs to post, though.

Screwed up DSC rollovers will no doubt add to the call volumes. It's expiry and rollover day for me, and my expired SCs haven't even expired yet. Apart from the missing DSCs of course.

If they don't start crediting the DSC soon one would think this is going to lead to a lot of calls further exacerbating call wait times for what should've been an entirely avoidable reason.
But that's Qantas, slow, errors & incompetence in every corner.... But hey keep booking them.

Terms and conditions:
"Any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Pacific and other partner airlines will not be eligible for this offer."

I booked MEL-LAX then LAX-BOS, JFK-LAX and LAX-MEL in PE. Middle two operated by AA with a QF number. That means these two flights arent eligible?

Anybody been able to work out the 8 week crediting issue yet? Personally, I'm screwed if its from 8 weeks because my membership year will expire about 3 weeks before I'm due to receive my last set of DSCs....

Welcome to AFF.

Once the SCs hit your account, they will (or should be) credited to the anniversary year they are flown in. Otherwise a telephone call to the dreaded call centre will be necessary! If you are flying before they post, you will also need to phone the call centre to have your status (hopefully) updated or acknowledged before you fly so you can enjoy your correct benefits.

Won't your status be renewed anyway because you have flown the one segment required? Otherwise a telephone call to the dreaded call centre will be necessary!
Some are looking to level their status up again or up for the first time with these offers. Some like myself let their status drop prior to COVID not realising that extensions would be coming. If I had known the free Lifetime SCs they would hand out I may have considered paying to extend status worth it.

Thanks for the reminder. I have edited my post.

Rollover SCs and take 1 flight get extended do not add to Lifetime SCs (other than for the original flight). I wish they did because I haven't personally benefited from any of the extensions (having flown enough in 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022).
