Re: Important message from Western Australia Police Force on new border requirements and your pending application
On 5 February 2022, new border arrangements will be introduced under the plan to allow for safe, compassionate travel into WA and to allow for the return of Western Australian residents.
The current G2G Pass system is being upgraded to capture entry information required under the new directions. We appreciate your patience while these system changes are finalised to enhance the application, review and approval processes.
Once the system enhancements are completed, you will need to update your application, declare, and in some cases to provide evidence of, your compliance with the new entry requirements. The new requirements, which will operate from 5 February 2022, are based on the latest health advice, so any travellers arriving after this date must meet the new entry requirements, which will be in place from that date and cannot be approved under previous requirements.
As a result, you will need to make certain additional declarations. You will be required to provide evidence of having received full doses of an approved vaccine, AND having received the booster dose if eligible. If your booster dose is not yet due, please make a booking immediately on the Roll up for WA website -
https://rollup.wa.gov.au/. Additionally, you will be required to photograph proof of returning a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) result within 24 hours of departure from your departure jurisdiction and to provide that photographic proof to an authorised officer on request.
Please note that in addition to these declarations and evidence, you will need to provide and upload supporting evidence that you meet one of the
following categories for approved entry to WA:
People who, within the last two years, had their ordinary place of residence in WA and are returning in order to permanently reside in WA;
People with direct legitimate family connections who enter WA to re-connect with their family (for the avoidance of doubt, this means a direct lineal relative or relationship akin to a direct lineal relative such as an adopted family situation);
People with direct legitimate family connections in other States or Territories who travel to re-connect with their family and then return to WA (for the avoidance of doubt, this means a direct lineal relative or relationship akin to a direct lineal relative such as an adopted family situation);
Compassionate grounds including funeral, palliative care or terminally ill visitation of a direct lineal relative;
Primary or secondary school students enrolled in WA, or students at a university or college, who enter to attend school, university or college (excluding international arrivals);
Member of the family of an Approved Traveller;
People entering for urgent and essential medical treatment;
Reasons of National and State security;
Commonwealth and State officials, Members of Parliament, Diplomats;
Provision of specialist skills not available in WA, health services, emergency service workers;
People required to attend court matters, judicial officers and staff of court, tribunals and commissions; or
Any other person approved by the State Emergency Coordinator (SEC) or Chief Health Officer or a person authorised by the SEC.
It is anticipated the updated G2G Pass system will be completed by 1 February 2022. You will be notified at this time so that you can update your entry details. In the interim, it is strongly recommended that you ensure you meet the new requirements and have prepared the required information detailed above so you can easily upload this to the system.
Note: Effective immediately, WA’s border settings provide a pathway to allow students to return to WA in time for the start of the school year, by selecting the “returning student” reason for entering. Personnel have commenced assessing these applications as a priority. Students and their families captured by the approval are required to self-quarantine at suitable premises for 14 days, meaning students will miss the start of the 2022 school year.

So, effectively they decided to match "extreme risk" to "low" risk classification on their border control scale. Remember, anything above ''low low' risk always required 14 days Iso
