I’m having fun on the SA winery FB page whipping up the anti vaxxers who are in a froth this morning about their vax announcement. Just bought three of their wines from Dans to celebrate.

Not sure what you are saying, but we only need another 20 million doses to get 100% for 16+, plus say another 2 million for 12-15 - call it 22 million.

A lot of them will be AZ - even if it's just second jabs (PM confirmed we've given out 10 million AZ already)

At roughly 10 million a month of mRNA ,we'll be at 100% by early November. We are going to have a lot of excess vaccines that will be donated to the Pacific or swapped for boosters. Of course they won't all be in arms by mid November but that's easily managed.

That is what I'm saying - I think Australia won't be able to swap out anything before December.

I'm guessing a swap deal means Pfizer for Pfizer - so I guess you are saying we have more than 4.5 million Pfizer in December to swap with Singapore and UK. Otherwise Australia would only have Q1 Pfizer to swap with UK.

Hope these wineries (and any future businesses deciding to) are guaranteeing all their staff will be vaccinated as well - just so they have some liability if it turns out there are instances of using vaccination status for "marketing purposes".....as I indicated vaccination games are starting to happen across Australia.

Instead of say Australia-made, a majority of marketing will be vaccination status and there will be some that lie or cut corners.......

No, all 4m at once. There's 10 million doses arriving in September total from all sources and types. We return the UK ones back in December when they need to run boosters out. It's a smart way of juggling supply and demand.

Yes, thanks - my original question was trying to work out how Australia would "fund" the Pfizer swap deal - Apparently we have more than 4.5 million in December to swap with Singapore and UK, so won't have to dip in Q1 yet.

It would be terrific if the big two or three supermarket chains do it and live up to their marketing.

That would be just momentous. Everyone needs groceries (being critical) and that would really be comforting of "quashing" anti-vax.

It's astounding isn't it! There is one video posted of this numpty twenty something blathering on that she has proof it's all a myth. But all it shows is her blathering! These people can't be serious can they? And as for the sources quoted as evidence . It's hysterical. I'm having fun.

I'm pro-choice on vaccine and we should be able to cater for this over 50s/60s cohort by say 1 November - there's enough supply to cover the entire population - let them have it from then.
