With all the carriers reducing/cutting 1st class is there an easy way to see routes from OneWorld that still have first class, as in a map maybe? Am looking to say screw business and do a once in a lifetime trip on 1st class.

To the best of my knowledge there is no map as such. I posted in early April up thread about F travel here the biggest risk is the OW carriers who still have an F product that would normally travel between certain routes are sitting on the ground and been substituted by the a350 or 787. It is just a risk at the moment. BA would be a start as they have F over a wider number of aircraft types.

Agree. There's only what, four carriers with F remaining? AA, CX. BA and JL. AA would fine as long as you find a 777-300. CX will has F to key US cities such as LAX, SFO and JFK, plus to London. JL is offering F to London and several cities in the USA. BA will have more extensive coverage.

It is a risk not just at the moment, but from hereon.
Commercial F is unlikely to be the way it was anytime soon, if at all - it's just not a good business decision, for many reasons including the ones already mentioned.
If you want to go F just for the F product, stick to the key hubs and don't expect it to be set in stone, like you used to be able to do over a year ago.

Trying to add another flight to my OWA booking. I'm NB and rang early this morning, I was told wait time 30 mins to 1 hour, after 3.5 hrs call failed. I rang straight back i was told wait time 1 to 2 hours, call failed after 30 mins. I rang again, was told wait time less than 30 mins (not likely). Still on hold, expecting call to fail again. Looks like another Sunday gone just trying to add a flight. So far less than 30 mins ended up being 5.5hrs. Lucky the CSO in SA new what he was doing and it was all done and eticketed quickly.

The QF search function is not recognising LHR at the moment. It has been like that for a few days and still not fixed.

Yes, as long as all your individual bookings comply with the rules once you get to 318K the points cap out

If you want it to cap out, then you MUST include 2 other OW carriers as well (don’t need any sectors on QF).

My apologies, I didn’t mean to imply that you’re answer was incorrect or deficient...
I was just making the “2 OW carriers in addition to QF” rule absolutely explicit because the question included the phrase “... book each segments individually with Qantas...” (which raised the possibility that the forum member might not be fully conversant with all of the rules*).

* But of course they may be...

I book as much as I can on-line. Maybe several segments, as the system often crashes after “too many”. Trial and error.

The rest are done by phone, only, as many as you like. You only get one chance with on-line, and after that it’s all by phone.

It used to be that the multi-segment couldn't handle more than two separate flight entries on the same day before returning an error - so SYD-SIN, SIN-DXB and DXB-LHR booked separately couldn't be done if all on the same day, but ok if you combined multi flights (for example SYD-SIN then SIN-DXB-LHR). But sometimes the combined results didn't show results. The call centre was surprised by the error and could book it for you. Dunno if they've fixed that error now.

I have done a few of these. The best that I’ve had was probably booking five segments on-line, before the system crashed, although there have been reports from others that they have managed more than that. I’ve experienced this issue over the past several years at least.

Edit: I plan to start on another 318,000 point award in the next few weeks, so will see how that goes.

When questions like that crop up, its suggests that the person asking is almost certainly a novice when it comes to the 318k award.
So, nightelves, it might be stating something obvious to you, but just in case I'll add a cautionary note that all flights have to be on the one booking - you can't make several separate bookings online and then merge them i.e. when you add segments you have to do it through the call centre and make sure the operator adds each one to the same booking number.

In Oz, we can only hope that we are allowed out of the country next year. But, I’m making plans anyway, regardless of mixed messages from the Oz Government.

I've 'booked' lots of these, 12+ segments and gone to the payment screen to get taxes. Does the error occur after that? I've never actually needed to payment (so far).

Confident no, hopeful yes. Currently there are no fees for changing or cancelling award flights so why not give it a go?

You have done very well.

My crashes have happened early in the booking process. I’ve never raised it with the Call Centre as I’m unsure of their interest or ability to do anything. It would seem to be an IT issue. Anyway, I will see how my next 318,00 points award goes in a few weeks.

Is it QF + 2? I flew CX, BA and QR on my last OWA. Not a flying kangaroo at all!
