You can indeed decline an offer, and the system will ask why.
I declined an offer for Woolworths mince pork, tell them why, then the offer of any fresh meat came for 9 bonus and 1 normal point on purchases of any fresh meat at Woolworths.
The bonus offer for mince pork still comes though.
 
I have got my first multiple week offer for many months.4 weeks spending $105 in multiple shops for 10000 points.
 
I got my first Woolowrths spend offer in a long while. Spend $50, get 1,800 points

(Although BigW and BWS have been generous with their spend offers)
 
2x points on shops this week at Woolies - not worth the effort.

Also 5x points at Big W until the 14th, and 1500 points for $150+ spend on spirits at BWS.

It doesn't really make any sense, since it goes to QF automatically whether its WW or QF points.
 
Just thought I'd mention that I've now added two worksheets in my Supermarket Rewards Tracking spreadsheet to keep track of the historical offers (along with the rate of return assuming a Woolie/Coles point is worth half a cent). The top offer I'm seeing in terms of rate of return is for yours truly this week with an eye-watering 3000 bonus points upon spending $50 or more in store (a 30% return). For Coles, so far the most lucrative offer I've gotten was spend $60 in one shop and receive 3600 points (again a rate of return of 30%) back in November of last year.

One thing I'd like to know is a sense of how good these offers are. Whilst I suspect many of us would agree that a 30% rate of return is pretty good, especially considering the low outlay required to achieve it from Coles/Woolies, what about 20%? Or 10%? The lowest spend bonus I've seen so far with Woolies is from AisleSeat at 7.14%.

Ideally, I'd like to classify these offers into one of several categories:
  • No-Brainer : Jump on the offer right this instant!
  • Good Offer: Worth a serious consideration by the shopper
  • Acceptable Offer: An okay offer, certainly nothing to write home about but if the supermarket has the relevant sales on not a bad move
  • Brain-Dead Offer: You'd have to be crazy to shop at retailer strictly for this bonus offer.

Was the email from Qantas or Woolworths? Either way I suspect it's funded by Qantas, to thank Woolworths for the revenue.

If anyone from Qantas is listening, bring back an SC bonus for transfers and I'll turn auto redeem back on ;)
 
Update: Just did an online order for pick up this week for Woolies - total spend was $59 (I know a bit over the $50 threshold, but they actually had some good deals this week) for pick up on Sunday evening:

Good to see Woolies Online tells you how many points you'll earn on the transaction without having to guess around (one more tick towards doing all shopping at Woolies online for pick up in-store).

The next key question is whether I'll be able to parlay $90 in grocery spend at Coles this week (and the subsequent 3 weeks) to kick off the 10,000 bonus point promo. Should be doable, on paper but will depend on what their catalogue looks like in the coming weeks.

Another interesting tidbit I thought I'd share about missing promotions for Coles (perhaps this also applies to Woolies Everyday Rewards too). A few weeks ago Coles ran out of stock of an item in my order and as a result, I initially didn't qualify for the bonus being literally $3 short of the minimum spend. Interestingly enough the following day I received the exact same offer, I "missed" in my inbox. Makes you wonder if these grocery stores' reward programs provide a chaser when you miss the qualification requirements. Would be interesting to experiment further in the future.

Indeed, Coles/Flybuys offers status credits with their shop. However, I for one, look down on people who earn their status entirely or primarily through non-flying endeavors. Isn't the whole point of status to reward those of us who pay fares and take flights? For my money, I'd much rather have Woolies have a coupon program as they have for cookware where instead you can earn valuable QF prizes like lounge access invites or domestic upgrade certs.

No status holders of either QF or VA earn their SC entirely or primarily thru non flying. Thats obvious if you know how many SC you require to retain Gold or Platinum.
Shopping more so for the at times fat point offers to buy immediate J class tix. The SC are just tiny additions that will rarely be the difference of retaining status or dropping down a grade.

Also re cookware, I think you may be referring to flybuys, not WW as they give credits per Shop to exchange for cookware until end of July.

You may have to much time on your hands of your going thru supermarket catalogues.

That's return of $42.50, 21%, won't get too much better than that, I guess $50 for 4 weeks for 10,000 better. But they don't come around often once you've hit close to a hundi per shop.

True, however I suspect it was triggered by a $200 spend a couple of weeks ago and those only happen once every few months for us.

I think these offers are back in season. I shop at WW couple of times every week.

My offer was 7500 rewards points if I spent $185 two weeks in a row. Love to know the algorithm that works these out.

I'll do it, by bringing forward putchases of stuff that has high value and long shelf life if needs be. Preferably marked down items.

Without too much flying/not being an essential worker/no compassionate grounds, buying food and grog (and playing FB and WW up against each other)... is the only way to amass FF points.
Oh, not forgetting the other non food shopping, too, FF store/Kogan & QFF, Catch & FB, etc.
I am sure each side, ie, FB & WW know that if we are not buying from them, it means that we are buying from the opposition.
And it does take a "certain" type of person to want to join FB/WW, most people I know, will just shop at Aldi and be happy with not getting any store reward/FF points
