Ha ha, DYKWIA
No really I'm no one special. It's getting very weird, I just checked my amex card and it shows a qfa credit (ie the taxes) for the booking I cancelled on Thursday night. Clearly a glitch!
Must be :) because I am still waiting for taxes etc to be credited for flights I cancelled almost 6 weeks ago. Points were re-credited within 5 days, but still waiting, waiting, waiting for the actual money.

And the money is now back in my account. :) 💲💰

Now, let's hope we can fly again soon.
I like the way you've represented the 'fare' component and 'fees & charges' refund separately! ;)

So 3 to 4 business days since you got the email saying 'processed' = new yardstick.

You mentioned you rang in early August before following up last week - when was the actual flight cancelled by Q out of interest?

My classic reward flight that I booked last September for travel on 28th May was cancelled automatically by Qantas in early May. Got the email today saying refund has been processed, almost 6 months later.

Cancelled by QF in May. Now with the TI refund coming through I'll have no more refunds to come, nor international travel booked. :( And I have lots of leave.

It sounds sad that the only trip I have booked is to CBR next month. Still, the people I'm meeting will be awesome.

Thanks!

So roughly a 5 to 6 month wait!

Nothing wrong with Canberra other than that one large group of self-entitled itinerants....

Perhaps you could start a thread about consumer protection issues? The subject is interesting, but these last posts have nothing to do with when we received our Qantas refunds.

Agree! I have alerted the mods to see if they can carve out the consumer protection items.

It's now been sixteen (16) weeks since the QF international award flights were cancelled, and still no refund of the taxes:mad:
It has now been 19 weeks since I cancelled an award flight, and two days ago received an email from Qantas advising the following:-

We’ve credited the amount back to the same form of payment that you used to make your original booking. Note: your bank or financial institution may take some time to process the funds back to your account.
If you requested a refund for a booking made using Qantas Points (eg a Classic Flight Reward or Points Plus Pay - Flight booking), your Qantas Points will be returned to the nominated Frequent Flyer account, however this may take some time.

Amex should have been credited with the refund fees, but not as yet. Only the email. We live in hope.

So with all the refunds I am yet to receive the card payments back. Except for the one I filed with Amex where the card payment charge has come through at the same time.

Requested refund of QFi booking on 2 October (after being on hold for 1.5 hours)
Refund finally credited into my account 20 November

I received such an email mid week. The $ credit showed up today. This was cancelled mid September, points were back by October.

Just checked AMEX and the taxes were credited yesterday 21NOV, so 19 weeks from "I" cancelled the flights to receiving full refund.

Don't take this the wrong way - but I hope that's a record!

19, 19, 19, do we have any advance on 19 weeks?

How soon we forget - 27 weeks! (Reminds me of some TV program this bidding jump ;))

Finally, after 27 weeks. All money refunded from a Qantas domestic revenue return booked on Qantas.com.au and paid by BPay. Not exactly a complicated booking.

My sister and our friend are still battling to get their refunds for the flights we’d all booked to South Aftica.

We booked direct and had our refunds (points and revenue) back in July. Sister and friend via agents. Helloworld had told my sister that Qantas had given a date of Nov 17 but then last week advised her Qantas has said there was another delay of 47 days (yes, exactly 47 days).

This is ridiculous. I posted about this on QF’s Facebook page and was asked to private message them with details. I’ve done th and crickets...
