I understand you can not go on that tour unless it's to get home, in which case you'd likely refer to it as a bus. And you won't be able to do either if you show symptoms on arrival into Australia.I do not understand this self-isolate thing.Am arriving from overseas to Sydney - then have domestic connection to to Adelaide, then have bus tour booked to Alice Springs. Will I be detained in Sydney or Adelaide?
Others might know more but I would suggest you would have to self isolate in SYD.I'm in AKL... I am booked to SYD and the one night later SYD/SIN/LHR/ZRH.
Do I self isolate in SYD for one night or 14 nights?
Change plans? Do I? Can I? Should I?

If you are not infected you need to go into quarantine for 14 days. I.e. people entering AU after last night.
If you are infected, or may have been in contact with someone who is, then you need to self isolate.

All people who arrive in Australia from midnight 15 March 2020, or think may they have been in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus, are required to self-isolate for 14 days
