Certainly never daily but ISTR it being more regular than twice a week.- has that always been the case?
Ah Cheers! Bummer though as the evening departure/evening arrival is convenient. When SFO services came online they reduced 95/6 to 2x weekly. Plenty of discussion here:

That would be great! There will be a QF codeshare under the JV.
It is possible that QF will restore the prior earning on AA once the JV starts. We don't have any confirmed details on the JV yet, just that is has been approved.I'm guessing that those AA flights won't give us the same SC's though? (if it happens)

AA does leave aircraft parked at outstations for some time in other places, manly in South America. No reason they wouldn't for an evening MEL-LAX route as well.I suspect AA running an evening flight from MEL-LAX could be problematic - as it either means leaving the plane on the ground in MEL for 12 hrs or going against the grain with a daytime flight ex-LAX, something that no-one else does (for Australia flights, plenty to Asia though).

AA was the last airline partner to have their QF earn reduced. And that only happened because the DOT was being 'difficult' the first time they applied for a JV.
