Certainly not defending the pictures that were taken for the trip report in question. That is unacceptable behaviour, just noting that the law might be on their side. This is afterall how papparazzi get away with their cough.

If they were allowed to take pictures in lounges, they would surely be able to release more pics – but you don’t see any pics in there for a reason.

Not at all. I doubt Papps can get into lounges or would pay for membership. Remember they would have to be flying to access the lounge. plus in most other countries you need a ticket to get into the departures area. So I'm simply stating that the reason you don't see pictures in lounges from those types is because of logistics, not because it isn't a public space.
