John sadly I think you're giving QF a little too much credit for using the technology to their advantage lol.
Besides, there's a simple reason they would not anticipate future bookings in terms of tking status into account - you could cancel or change them at any time prior to departure, so there's zero reason for them to pre-empt
Further, If flights booked but not yet credited were on partner airlines, they would almost certainly have no way of knowing about these until they credited to QFF, unless those flights were part of a QF issued booking (and thus they would have visibility)
bu tno, I think it's a bit much to consider that QF might take future bookings into account proactively. Possibly as a manual intevention as a special case, but I very much doubt anything would be done proactively.
