Vinomofo Wine Deals

Had a look at previous pages, couldn't see anything on this. 2013 Barossa shiraz. $99 down to $35.
Black Market Shiraz 2013 - Red Wine | Vinomofo Australia

A bit of searching found a Lou Miranda estate old vine shiraz fitting some parts of the description but the online price is $50 (2013). The 2012 is $90 though...
Guesses?

2013 Single Vineyard Shiraz » Lou Miranda Estate

I'm pretty sure it's a Lou Miranda '13 Single Vineyard. The 2014 Shiraz Mataro had the same pricing "quirk", i.e. was advertised as $99 retail down to $35 yet was $89 on the wineries website.

I guess there's one way to find out for sure...

Just call em up and ask - they'll tell you!
Seemingly someone has done a dodgy here at VM - more than normal - unless of course we are way off base with the wine :)

Is the Redman still under cork? It's a sentimental favourite but my last purchase had 2 bad bottles and went back...
Also...it was interesting to see the 94 points from Qwine. I did a web search and Steve with no surname has a blog where he does wine reviews and prefers wine from Queensland. Does he have credentials?

I think your question is answered by the prior wording about preferring wine from Queensland. Only reviewer I know that puts Queensland wine anywhere near the top of the Australian wine regions!

Just a guess, based on price-points and blurb about fancy bottle/case, could be a new vintage of Grant Burge Corryton ESTATE (Not Park), the 2009/2010 have been offered previously, do a search for the mixed reviews, probably under cork.

But prior vintages were labelled as Cabernet Sauvignon (less than 15% other varietals), so maybe not.

Thought the same initially however changed my mind since JH gave the '12 Corryton 93 points which I'd expect to see in the VM blurb.

edit the 93 is for the Corryton Park.

Redbigot is on the money, it was explained to me as a small batch "offshoot" of the Corryton Estate (not to be mistaken with Park) in a more Bordeaux-esque blend. Not sure how they derived the RRP price point. I'm giving it a miss.

I Know Steve really well and he's an incredibly passionate and well connected fella in the industry. He does push extremely hard for the QLD wine regions and after being let down by the government and wine bodies not investing in enough in the promotion of the industry. I know he is a huge supporter of all regions and just happens to live in QLD.

Also hosts some pretty special wine dinners up there if you're ever in Brisvegas and wanted to join in the fun.
