Qantas site a mess

I noticed this error with Multi City bookings this week when doing a dummy booking with current release dates to check the likely release of seats I will want to book in the next few months. Previously when I had looked at ZRH-LHR connecting with LHR-SYD all with BA in J the total points came out as 139,000 but now it is showing as 18,000 + 139,000 with 157,000 points being shown for these flights. If I proceeded to book online using Multi City does anyone know if it likely the points would revert to 139,000 when you finalise the booking with this Multi City error or would I have to call up?

Nope it doesn't consolidate it when finalising the booking, you will need to ring them to book.

Six Red Planet surveys I completed between 1 and 11 May have now posted to my QFF account this afternoon.

In other (ominous) news, the Using Points Calculator is now being "updated" and is unavailable.

Not sure if this was discussed elsewhere or I'm missing something but I think points earn have been "enhanced"??

Was trying to book Melbourne - Tokyo and just noticed the Sale fares (discount economy) only earns 2600 points (same status credits at 30). This is also reflected in the Points Calculator.

Checked my flights two weeks ago and it earned 3900 points so 1/3 reduction...

Haven't tried other routes.

Standard discount (& sale) economy points earn between MEL and Asia has been 2600 points since at least simpler and fairer part 2.

WP get 5200.

My Red Planet points since 1 May have finally posted this evening.

I posted similar last week. BKK-SIN-SYD on 3K/QF should be 28,000 points in economy but has been showing 37,600 points (9,600 + 28,000) recently. I'm sure some won't know it should be cheaper and will go ahead and book.

I called and booked over the phone and no mention of a booking/service charge.

And still the Using Points Calculator is not available, that is one hell of a long update, what the hell are they doing?

Probably using customers as a way of finding bugs and user acceptance testing at this point.
I dont use twitface, are they getting many complaints over there? If no one is complaining about it or they have died down there is less incentive to get anything done.

I got three of my missing Red Planet points, but still missing two.

"Economy" fares (GKLMSV) earn that 3900.

Oops, sorry! My bad. I thought it was 3900 and 30 SC which was what I got. The "Economy" fares (GKLMSV) you mention get 3900 but 40SC?
I think I got confused because I got extra points from my Silver status, which I made for the first time ever a few months ago (yay me!) so I thought it was supposed to be 3900 rather than 2600.
Thanks for clarifying! Finally begin to understand the benefits of status! lol

I just got an interesting email from QF

Dear SDTRAVEL,
We're always working to improve the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and an important part of this is understanding what our members think. To help us with this, we'd appreciate 10-15 minutes of your time to rate the program and provide some feedback.

Thank you for your time.

Havent started it yet. But where shall i begin.

Ho-hum. My claim for missing QR SCs/points lodged before the site enhancement not processed 21 days after claim was made. So utterly predictable, with Qantas.

Lets read those 'benefits with flying with Qantas' again ....

My missing points for shopping etc. are starting to come through.

My missing points and SC claim from JQ+ flights 15 business days ago still missing :(

I received a similar email recently. I'm sure Qantas regrets the decision to send me a survey but there hasn't been any follow up. I suspect they just ignore comments that are not related to their future plans.

Sri Lankan flight posted within 15 mins of landing in SIN :) QRs, flown a month ago still not there, in spite of initial claim and then a follow up claim 3 weeks later.

Still waiting for some points.

"Pop to the shops and bag 1,000 bonus Qantas Points
Dear xx_
You already get Qantas Points with Woolworths Rewards. To help you enjoy an amazing Qantas reward even sooner, just shop at any Woolworths supermarket once this week spending $40 or more, either in store or online, and scan your Woolworths Rewards card to get 1,000 bonus Qantas Points*. It’s that easy.

But hurry, you must shop and scan by 11:59pm Sunday 6 May."

This was sent on the 28/4 I did the shop a couple of days later. But no points. It was around of the mess of the Qantas site. Sigh! should I chase them?

So here's a thought....
SC seem to now frequently post before a flight has left the gate, and in one case I've seen them post before boarding has started. So...what happens if you check-in but don't actually board the flight?
