Registered via the website (and screenshots) and got the email instantaneously. An hour later, an email from QF advising of the promo. Now the question if to cancel the award booking and make a revenue booking instead. A few sleeps to consider this :)

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This offer came on the first day of my membership year, and I already have enough bookings for SG, and won't make WP even if cancelling and rebooking where possible. So sadly, no $%^&*@# help. Now if it had come a month ago, different story...

I have a similar issue, blacknwhite... I have a ticket that is currently being held by the travel agent, but I don't think 'ticketed' - I have a PNR issued...wonder what the situation is there? Work has not yet paid for the ticket...

Hi akenne21,as advised by other members, you would need for the agent to cancel and create a new PNR.My travel agent was fantastic and gave it to us at that same price and the same itinerary. Final payment due tomorrow.Lucky me but that's what good agents do.We now get an extra 120 status credits each.I'm currently silver and will be gold(first time)and my husband will be close to platinum Happy Days!!!!

Just to be sure - is this offer apply even if booking cheapest possible QF fare like Red e-deal still earning some SC's?

yes. as long as the fare is:

a) QF flight with a QF flight numbers (NO codeshares)
b) eligible for SC earn (ie basically all commercial fares not awards etc)

To position you for a massive DSC run (nested flights), or just the flights towards this DSC?

I’ll need to use my travel credit too. Maybe to put towards a trip to QLD/NZ.

I've got an interesting question, that perhaps only a travel agent could answer. A large company I work with will hopefully be flying me on an international trip in J later this year, but I suspect they won't be booking the tickets for a month or so. There is nothing I can do to speed that up and one day I will get an email from their corporate travel agent saying here are your proposed flights, are they OK, would you like to change them. It is possible to change the flights and I've had colleagues who pay their own cash to upgrade the company purchased J fare to F. If I bought a voucher now, would it even work to ask the corporate travel agent to see if I could pay to upgrade to F and have them start the booking with my voucher and use my DSC period dated voucher PNR ? (Knowing that there are no guarantees that the voucher would attract DSC, but worth a try)

The other question I'm still not sure of, is it you buy an F class fare from SYD - LHR for example, would the DSC be at F rates or are the double status credits at the flexible economy rates?
