Never eat salad. I mentioned 'cooked vegetables' not salad.
I did the right thing at the time letting my then girlfriend have the seafood platter while I had the salad. Yes the water can be dodgy and not easy to avoid. Seem to be immune now.

On QF 98 last night, thought I'd sleep to some low volume music. I noticed 'For Seasons' and thought that'd be good. When I mentioned to an FA in passing that it is Four Seasons, he asked if that was the musical. :D

Ice was shortly after salad on the list.

When I first visited Bangkok I was walking around, very hot and thirsty and was looking for a shop to by a can of soft drink (knowing to avoid water, ice etc). Went by a street vendor with nice cold cans for sale so I asked for one. In a flash they opened a warm can and tipped it into a plastic bag of shaved ice  .

Learned that one fast. Yes, I drank it; I may have expired otherwise ... and I survived.

Yesterday, our FA was named Zak.

Zak has a flight not fight response. During the flight, a pax walked up behind him while he was facing the exit door and he literally jumped and cowered when she said something.

Me to husband: In the event of trouble, hes not the one we look to for leadership.

Why does REX have J seat prices when their entire plane is Y. You get an empty seat?

Thinking Coober Pedy for next year. Never been there before.

Edit: Hmmm. Dummy booking for 2 people paying "J" and we get seated together. So what do you get for double the price but the same seat?

Why?

try Flinders Ranges if you want an outback kind of experience.

In Vung Tau last year they were offering cans of beer for $US1 and with free wifi. Being off a ship with appalling internet this sounded a good deal until the warm beers arrived accompanied by a plastic cup of ice. Needless to say I got to drink 2 warm beers. Seems the message got through as this year when we went through there the beer was cold so they sold a lot more.

A real first world problem here.

My new $9 Big W toaster is too quiet! I have it in the kitchen and sit in the lounge room waiting to hear it pop up. Because it is so quiet I don't hear it and when I remember I've put it on the toast is cold.

Even worse if I'm poaching eggs because the toast cooking time is the same time required for soft runny eggs.

I really don't have any problems do I?

Could be a lack of noise transmission or noise reception.....

If you can't peel it, wash it with clean water, or cook it, dont eat it.

Of course now-days local water almost anywhere can be put in a generic "Mountain spring water" plastic bottles, sealed and sold to unsuspecting tourists, so maybe they should modify their poster ...

I think thats what happens in places like Bali where aussies are getting alcohol poisoning from methanol (or ethanol, cant remember which) home brew.

Me too !! But I have never had a Krispy Kreme. I see them in BKK, but the neon "cream" put me off, I like real CREAM but not the imitation cream in some cakes and pastries.

The original ones have no mock cream/ "kreme" in them. There's a few that are just iced, no filling. Some have custard filling.

Hmm, feeling suddenly like I'm letting people into a secret that I know/remember so much about doughnuts ....

Found Elderflower and lemon lime and bitters at Cost Plus World Market. Have struggled to find this soft stuff for Mrscove in Los Angeles. They even have Anzac biscuits.

Cost Plus World Market was where Mr Katie used to get his Bundaberg Ginger Beer, etc, back in the late 90s in California.
