OK, so the 'tingle' has ameliorated somewhat with time in the glass but a $75 wine??? Don't think so.
I'll take the Petaluma Coonawarra any day. Lucky I brought one to Melbourne even though that was for tomorrow night after Ricciardo triumphs over Hamilton.

May have been prematurely bottled and had not finished Malolactic Fermentation, or residual CO2 from sparging as it was bottled.

Sorry long time lurker, but i haven't seen this offer on here yet and I feel guilty for benefiting from everyone else's hardwork :).

2014 Alpha Crucis Winemakers Series Shiraz 6 Pack - $199

https://www.mywineguy.com.au/products/2014-alpha-crucis-shiraz-winemakers-mixed-case

Pretty good price considering last years offer was $250 a case.

I think you need to use the code ALPHAONE at the checkout to get it down to $199 as it said it was a VIP deal. I didn't buy any as i bought the last lot, but my FIL grabbed some (always great to drink other peoples wines!)

Wynns Shiraz 2015 for $10 today only. Always a good quaffer.

Went past my local Dan's this arvo and they were doing tastings of this one. Hah! But actually, I was pleasantly surprised; for me it's a really easy drinking number. Smooth, a little sweet and wholly inoffensive. The Dan's guy tried it too and was also surprised. I picked up some as I'm in need of some friendly cheapies. Thanks for the tip.

Our local Dans was sold out by 3pm

Assume that you were referring to the $10 Wynns shiraz.

If so, at around $9 (with discounts) it was fairly good value for a wine that will go to the cellar for at least 10 years before I have to think about it again.

I have some 2006 which is very good now.

Yes I was talking about the Wynns. Missed out.

Got an email today about this 2009 Barossa SGM at $99 per case: https://www.winedirect.com.au/secre...day-5-red-star-rated-winery-dozen-mar-offer-7

Seems to be red bike, which I understand is the export label for Murray Street Vineyards: https://www.crackawines.com.au/product/2009-red-bike-barossa-grenache-shiraz-mataro and https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_380932/murray-street-vineyards-red-label-shiraz which is currently $33 per bottle at Dan Murphy's. Does anyone have any experience with it?

good quaffing GSM, https://www.winedirect.com.au/secre...day-5-red-star-rated-winery-dozen-mar-offer-7
re-labelled 2009 Murray Street 'The Barossa'. 94 point halliday so should be drinkable ;)
$99 doz delivered. less $25 with new sign up

Actually I think you'll find it's Red Bike SGM. I've had it - doesn't offend. I'd rate it at slightly better than quaffer.

It's normally $15 on their website, down to $10.50 when they do 30% sales:
https://www.winedirect.com.au/red-bike-barossa-valley-sgm

I much prefer the same winery's 2010 SGM, which is apparently just $5 more RRP:
https://www.winedirect.com.au/murray-street-vineyards-red-label-shiraz-grenache-mataro

No bargain price on that by itself though - forms some of their packs.

Agreed. I found the 2010 a stunner and then reordered it when offered as a secret deal. This one is bold and doesn't have that distracting warmth sometimes found in these blends.
