I am flying on the QF6 23:55 flight from SIN to SYD later this week (J class).

I am getting dropped off at the airport at around 5:30pm. Will I be able to check in this early before the flight and go to the Qantas lounge?

Is there special Qantas desk / area I need to look out for or go to ?

thanks in advance.

Yes ... 6:30pm is fine, in fact any time from 10am that day using the "early check-in" lounge.

According to the Qantas website you can check in up to 6 hours before your flight in Singapore. The Singapore Qantas Club opens at 2.30pm.
Therefore you may have a short wait to check in if you arrive exactly at 5.30pm, but at least the Qantas Club will be open once check in is complete.
Others may have some first hand experience they can offer.

I see Serfty has added his experience while I was typing!

ok thanks guys. So its saying up to 12 hours but the check in counter is not open until 3.5 hrs before the flight so is there another counter I need to go to ?

The check-in counters should be open - they use the same counters for all their flights.

Prior to the check-in counters opening, Qantas have early check-in counters in Singapore, that operate from 10 am to 3 pm. They then swicth to the check-in counters.

When I checked in early for my SIN-MEL flight on QF a couple of weeks ago, I was told to go to the Early Check-in Lounge, it's a room behind all the other check-in counters where you take a ticket from a machine and wait to be called - worked fine for me.
