It's not even a great J fare (as was obviously intended in the ad).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

You'll be pleased to know that after Guvner pointed it out at post#13 in this thread earlier today and I have emailed the Head of Marketing, who I'm sure won't find it as funny as I did :D

I've no idea what you mean by this comment? I happen to have spoken to him on a number of occassions on AFF business. Thought he should know that his team need to pull the ad and fix it. I haven't seem the mistake ad again, so presume that's what has been done.

The sale ended on Sunday night so the ad would have stopped, most probably by a timer.

Though pretty crazy running a business class sale on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday ... That's not really when the target audience (businesses) would have been operating. Then again, I dont think business book fares just because a sale is on.

The banner, complete with error, was there right up until the sale closed. It was never fixed.

your right- I'm not sure how many businesses would have seen the ad in time to lock in any forward bookings.

However, some of the fares would have worked out as pretty good status runs $399 MEL-CBR or MEL-ADL for instance should bring in 50 Status Credits for travel in Discount Business under the new earnings tables and the same for the return.
Quite a lot of the short haul domestic flights had these rates where only L or higher flex fares were available and one flight I picked was only $50 more for Business than Economy

Unfortunately, the discounts were nowhere near as attractive on the long haul flights as mentioned up the thread.

Clearly it's a stuff up. Many would see that and realise it's a mistake - were the fares available? They aren't terrible, just not super cheap.

Have you considered rather than targetting businesses (who are more date-fixed and policy driven in fare selection) that they were targetting private travellers, whom this sort of pricing might entice to upgrade from Y/Y+ into J, hence the weekend sale isn't unreasonable.
