Thought QF free changes were only ever by midnight that day, so could be 24hrs, could be 1hr
Don't know how many tickets you've bought but at least the change fees are reasonable. 5,000 points per passenger (or $20 in woolworths gift cards) is far shy of the change fees on cash tickets
Unfortunately no, I just used that as a base value for Qantas Points (what you can convert them to in woolworths gift cards being the closest cash equivalent). However my maths is wrong - a $25 wish egift card now is 4230 points for $25, so 5,000 points is more like $29.55 at woolworths.Hi exceladdict,
Regarding the award booking change fee of 5,000 points per passenger I'm interested in your reference to "or $20 in Woolworths gift cards".... I've always wished we had the option of paying a change fee rather than having to use points when making changes.
Glad you got it sorted out.
Award tickets are also changeable on the day at the airport without a fee as they are treated as flexible fares - as long as there are U or X class seats available on the flight you want.

But either way my point that $30 is a reasonable change fee if that's how you value QF points - but if you're getting between 4 and 8 cents then 5,000 points does become an expensive change fee.
Cancelling a VA award is $35 or 3,500 Velocity points. Chose to pay cash. But either way my point that $30 is a reasonable change fee if that's how you value QF points - but if you're getting between 4 and 8 cents then 5,000 points does become an expensive change fee.
