I have received a targeted FB offer for Triple Points at KMart. I see no reference to an exclusion for gift cards, but there is a reference to "qualifying transaction". FB T&C's define this as:
"Qualifying Transaction means a transaction with a Participant for goods or services on which the Participant issues points."
Am I missing anything? Can I spend up on gift cards with confidence this festive season? Anyone with previous experience on a similar offer?

A friend of mine purchased some gift cards from Kmart at the same time as other goods and didn't get any flybuys points on them. If there are no base points, the triple points won't be triggered.
A while ago it was possible to get base flybuys points for gift cards purchased at Target but I haven't done this for a while so I don't know whether this would still happen. I had a triple points offer for Target once and I bought clothes and a gift card. I got base points on the gift card and the clothes but only got the triple points on the clothes.
I purchased some gift cards today at Coles to use as Christmas presents so hopefully I'll get my bonus points for them soon from the targeted offer.
I got an email from flybuys earlier tonight with the subject line, "An apology regarding yesterday's email". For a moment I thought they were withdrawing my 500 point offer. Luckily it was just a message about the fact that some people had trouble activating the offer. They assured me that my offer had been activated correctly and was available for use.
Nope. Following up today and seeking compensation because of the extented delay.
Still nothing for me.I have received the majority (but not all) of my gift card bonus points today.
Back on the phone to FlyBuys to chase the remaining points
Nothing for me here. Guess I have to call them.Still nothing for me.

We're genuinely sorry you've had these issues, and we appreciate the feedback about your frustration in dealing with the flybuys service centre. We're aware particularly of the delays to members in crediting bonus points for First Choice Liquor and Liquorland promotions, and we agree that our track record in recent times hasn't been good enough. We appreciate that acknowledging your concerns is only the first step, and that we'll only be measured by our ability to improve our processes to ensure timely crediting of points; having said that, we value your feedback.I am really tired to deal with Flybuys customer service (via "custcare@salmat" email or 131116). I think Flybuys and First Choice Liquor are now just cheating the customers. They never look into my inquiry regarding the missing points (2000 points C&C + 1000 points for spending $90) and just give me standard replies saying they are overwhelmed with email and asked me to call the service centre. Then service centre just asked me to send email to custcare again.
How could Dr Ralph get your 2000 bonus points?
They also said that the transaction date for the second offer (spending $90 to get 1000 points) only consider the delivery date, not the order date. It's so ridiculous!

We appreciate your feedback, and we genuinely regret that we've lost your confidence as a result of you having to chase up bonus points. We fully appreciate that the timely crediting of bonus points for First Choice Liquor and Liquorland promotions has been lacking particularly in recent times - we sincerely hope you will notice an improvement going forward.I'm not far from giving up on Flybuys. There are just too many other schemes where you can get rewarded with less effort.
95% of the time Flybuys has a bonus deal they fail to deliver and I have to spend time contacting them and chasing it up. It's just not good enough. Now when I see a deal the first thought is that I'll never see those points without significant effort so it's very likely not worth my time.
They did pay the points for my First Choice spends after I harassed them on Facebook. They are still yet to pay the ten's of thousands of points I am owed from the pre paid mastercard deal. I've told them I expect compensation because they have not awarded them within the stated time period.
PS. I found it curious on the Flybuys Facebook page that a lot of people have reported similar problems with different bonus deals. Their standard response is that they take the awarding of bonus points offers seriously. Clearly that don't!

We regret the recent problem with points issuance for the Prepaid Gift Card x10 bonus points campaign which was sent on 25 October. A processing issue meant that a number of customers missed out on this. We are awaiting a corrected list from our partner and expect that the outstanding points will be in members accounts by 22nd December.
In light of your circumstances, we would like to recognise your inconvenience. Please send us your details in a private message and we will follow up.The is not a recent problem. This is an habitual issue that Flybuys has.
It's one thing to continually apologise, it's another to prove your sincerity.
I've be owed 44,000 bonus points from Flybuys and continually given new dates when those points will be paid.
What Flybuys has failed to do is to provide compensation for the breaches of promises. If you say that points will be awarded within four weeks of the completion of the offer then that should occur. What shouldn't happen is we continually have to contact Flybuys to make them honour exisiting obligations.
Once again, I strongly recommend that you look at the issue of compensation for your failures.
Hi Betty, we are keen to help you out; please send us your details in a private message so we can look into your Medibank issue; thank you.Seems like more hollow promises Flybuys.
I notice you're avoiding the issue of compensating people for your mistakes.
I've been waiting for points from the heath fund offer which I wanted to use to buy Christmas presents.
I finally received all my bonus points from the prepaid gift card promotion after another phone call yesterday to FlyBuys.
I raised the issue of compensation during one of my calls, but this was not addressed when bonus points were awarded.
Happy to have the points in my account - not so much the effort of phone calls, explaining to FlyBuys staff what the promotion was, what the offer period was, when I made the purchases etc etc
In my experience base points show up when you collect your glasses. As for bonus points who knows. But expect to have to spend hours chasing them.Has anyone made purchases at OPSM which have qualified for flybuys points?
I have a targeted offer with Flybuys/OPSM where it will take at least 6 weeks to get the bonus points. I made a small purchase today and I'm wondering how long the base points will take to show up. I have a receipt with my flybuys number on it which I can use as proof if the points don't show up but my claim will carry more weight once the base points register during the valid period of the offer.
