Remember the Jacobs Creek 'Solway' deal couple months back? Bottles arrived as cleanskins:

Amazing what a spit and polish will do:

Should keep some of my sisters happy on the weekend.

Drinking a Gerry Sissingh Semillon tonight dating back to the last Langtons/amex deal. A most serendipitous purchase.

Houghton Gladstones Shiraz (not sure if it's exactly the same as the Thomas Yule, but export labelled, or a different batch altogether). You may need to call Houghtons.

Decent wine - I think I got it for $25 tho - First bottle was shot (cork issue maybe), second a lot better - was tempted to send back but 2nd bottle was good enough to keep the others, will last the distance, a premium shiraz

Photoshop, magic pix(el)sies not sure what you've wrought there CE, what I REALLY want to know is what did the sodding red stuff in the bottles actually taste like??

Not photoshop - I grabbed the image of label from Google Images and printed them - the heat shrink caps came from Australian Home Brewing supplies - 30 caps for $9.00 IIRC. Ther plonk inside is surprisingly good - I think JasonKing posted nowhere near $100 as touted - maybe a tad below St Hugo - I would totally concur after tasting - but for $13/bott that is a steal IMHO.

Xanadu 2014 Chardonnay on Cracka going for around $100 for 6 delivered. With the recent $50 dollars off cracka code, $30 AMEX Credit and CR. I tried this at the cellar door recently. It was $37 a bottle. Great wine, will only get better too.

There were just 20 cases there's now 19 so be quick guys.

It's mother's milk for a West Australian Cab drinker mate, this is my Cabernets reference point. When we have international guests this is what I bring out to gauge how they will go with WA wines; if they like it then I usually move onto Heytesbury etc...

If you like WA Cabernets, this is emblematic of the expression. If you don't... stop drinking wine :p

I'm tempted to follow you with both the purchase and the pledge.

Appreciate the heads up on this one - I grabbed a couple of bottles awhile ago through Winestar when they had some discounts happening. Only just opened one a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic, and I've had it in the back of my mind to keep an eye out for more. Great deal with all of the discounts - I'm in.

Good find! What's the code for $50 off?

Let's see if you can hold off on any more wine spend... 5 weeks is long time, I predict few more irresistible deals by the end of the year ;)

...

Thanks Warlock (and Steady) for highlighting this. I usually steer away from wines with elaborate names but will give this a crack. ;)

So the franklin river Shiraz arrived, is not the Thomas Yule but was still a Houghton however I know little of this one, how do I post a photo with a I phone so I can post a pic.
