One of my thoughts would be why do VM use this little reference? This McLaren shiraz is going to go quicker than its Formula 1 namesake. No need for pit stops though – you’ll struggle to put this racy little number down.
Also VM 96 points but:
94 points – Tony Keys
Rich Barossa style but not overblown, it has the classic chocolate nose the valley is noted for.
`I think it's actually an issue on Allegiance's website - they've got the exact same reviews for the 2012 McLaren Vale Artisan as they do for the 2015 Barossa Artisan. Both reviews mention Barossa Valley, so I'm presuming a copy paste error that's gone unnoticed. I haven't been able to dig up Tony Key's actual review of this wine yet (presuming it actually exists...), would be interested to read it. Either way I'm a sucker for McLaren Vale shiraz so I've boomed.

$35.09 in any six from your Local Dan's.
Add the postage from vm and there is nothing in it...
Sad to see what has happened to our marvellous magical wine toy .. it's now just another loud noisy buy me wine spruiker...
Always good to get a member commenting on a wine one way or the other for those of us who haven't tried it Warlock (in regard to the Capel Vale). I must say the Allouran merlot almost tempted me to break the price barrier and grab a case but alas it has finished it's run for now, the review by Phillip White is such an enticing piece of writing that I could nearly taste the wine leaping off the page! d r i n k s t e r: POLE-AXED BY BLUE POLES VINEYARD
Blue Poles Allouran:
In one word - excellent wine.
Deep garnet, bouquet of subtle spice and plum with cassis edges. Alcohol is well balanced in a medium bodied wine with deliciously rich flavours dominated by red berries, violets and a savoury finish. Oak and tannins are soft but firm leaving you reaching for another glass.
Anyone had the Hewitson Basham's Beach 2012 Temp? Worth a look in?

Basham's Beach Tempranillo
A real contrast to my standard - West Cape Howe 2013 Tempy ('14 is ordinary).
Tawny to deep tawny, sweet ripe concentrated fruits dominated by blueberry and plums. Light to medium bodies wine with spicy and savoury finish. The alcohol is certainly there but not dominant. The finish is smoot and dominated by oak.
Figured I needed to start to describe the wine as I have tended down the path of "great, so so and wish I didn't spend the money"
Thanks to Warloc for the headsup on Blue Poles.
Finally got pen to paper on two recent purchases.

The Blue Poles certainly sounds every bit as entrancing as White's write-up, I'll probably have to relegate it to the one that "got away" unfortunately...
The Basham I did boom on, and am eagerly awaiting its arrival this week (I guess). I've always had a soft spot for Spanish iterations of Tempranillo as it was the only thing approaching an aussie reds vigour when I lived in Europe many moons ago. I do tend to go for the heavier hitters so quite happy if there is an adequate depth of flavour, thanks for getting back to us....
They delivered the Basham temp to me last week. It's a big cuddly red, tannins very soft to non-existent, and a touch of salinity at the end. I like it, though it may not be for everyone.
